Born and raised in Northern Minnesota, and have lived in Alaska since 2003. I love to show people new to Alaska the breathtaking views, amazing wildlife, and I enjoy recommending things to do, places to eat, and places to stay. I have worked as a log home builder with my father's since I was a teenager. When I'm not driving I make chainsaw carvings and other artwork. This Private Tour of Turnagain Arm is a 4.5-hour tour starting and ending in Anchorage. We'll head south of Anchorage on the Seward Highway and stop at a couple of pullouts along the highway for photos first. Then, we'll head south to the Wildlife Conservation center and see up close grizzly bears, moose, elk, caribou, eagles, owls, and more! After about an hour at the Wildlife Conservation Center we'll go to Portage Lake and take in views of the Portage Glacier and gorgeous mountains surrounding the lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jason. He was professional and also very personable. He has a lot of knowledge on the area and the animals and history of Alaska. He was a pleasure to spend the day with. I highly recommend Jason for your tours!
Our tour guide, Jason, was amazing! It was a rainy day and he did a great job. He took us around Anchorage and the Alaska Conservation Center. He answered all of our questions, was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of great information. He did such a great job, we didn't even care that it was raining! Highly recommend!!!!
We had a half day tour with Jason. It was a delightful time driving the Seward Highway from Anchorage to Turn Again Arms. Some adjustments had to be made due to winter hours for some of the planned stops however Jason was able to make the half day worthwhile.
Jason was a fabulous tour guide. We created an itinerary together and it was great for my husband and I and our 13 and 14 year old granddaughters. He met us right on time. He was very knowledgeable about history and other facts about Anchorage. He took us to the Wildlife Conservation Center which was definitely a highlight.
