Our drive follows Turnagain Arm through Chugach State Park and lush Chugach National Forest. See spectacular views of the glaciated Kenai Mountains and the majestic Chugach. Let's explore some of the roadside gems. . . Anchorage. Big Wild Life. Alaska's largest city. Glorious Girdwood. National Geographic continuously ranks this unpretentious place as the world's best ski town. Whatever the season this laid back community does not disappoint. Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The AWCC is dedicated to preserving Alaska's wildlife. View and photograph bears, caribou, musk-ox, wolves, and more. The setting is stunning. We can wing it if you prefer a casual style of travel. The only thing needing advance reservations is scenic flightseeing or dogsledding. Both offer opportunities to stand (or mush) on a glacier. An absolute MUST.

We had a wonderful tour with Dawn in Whittier and beyond. She picked us up right on time and got us back to the ship in plenty of time. Dawn was just a wealth of information and very pleasant and cheerful throughout the day. We felt that we saw all the highlights there were to see in the area. She made all the arrangements for our helicopter tour and was waiting for us upon our return. I would highly recommend Dawn and her tour to anyone going up to Whittier....in fact I already have.

Dawn provided the 4 of us an interesting, engaging, and enjoyable tour/transfer from Seward to Anchorage following our cruise. She gave us a menu of options and we choose a brief tour of Seward, a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and a tour w lunch at Gridwood. Dawn also responded to all of our questions re life in Alaska. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, yet young and lively.
