Having lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for some 45 years and being a small-business owner for decades, I have traveled worldwide extensively as well as throughout the state of Alaska. Was born and raised and lived for many years in both Norway and Sweden before moving to Alaska. Worked in the airline and travel industry for years and display a great joy and passion sharing information related to travel within the state, and possess patience and enthusiasm along with a good dose of positivity! I am easy to get along with, flexible, and will go out of my way to provide for an exceptional and personal learning experience for every tour customer, whom I treat as a personal guest. All of my tours can be customized upon request and always open to new adventures. I am a small business owner specializing in Alaska travel and outdoor activities, including guiding groups of individuals in wilderness settings, and have written or co-authored a half dozen books on specifics regarding the subject. I am also trained in CPR and First Aid. Was employed as a teacher at the University of Alaska for 14 years as well. None

Note: Peak season for this tour is mid-August through September. The ultimate late summer and fall tour for those with an interest in learning about the life history of Pacific Salmon in Alaska's waters and the Bears that rely on them for their survival. We will visit a selection of coastal clearwater streams and glacial-green ponds and observe the return of several species of salmon and very often see both black and brown bear in action as they fatten up for the long winter ahead. This is not only a close-up portrait of wildlife and nature in motion but a true educational experience in a setting surrounded by the dense Northern Boreal rainforest, tall mountains, and hanging glaciers. Bring a camera!
