I was born and raised in Alaska like my mother before me. I grew up traveling the state with my father as he worked on construction sites as an engineer. I have a B. A. in political science from the University of Alaska and there is little I don't know about Alaska history and culture. I am part Native-Alaskan (some people call them Eskimo) and know much about that part of my family tree. I am proud to be Alaskan and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Great Land with visitors from all over the world. Ryan reached out to confirm our plans about a week before our ship was due in Seward, and again, confirmed pick-up details the day before. He shared his great knowledge about Alaska, and happily answered all our (many) questions. He took us to some truly hidden gems en route between the Seward cruise port and Anchorage airport, and happily accommodated our spur of the moment requests. We enjoyed the flexibility of selecting which sites we wanted to see as we traveled to Anchorage from Seward. Ryan was a great driver and shared great stops which allowed us to see Beluga Whales!

Ryan was very informative and took us to out of the way, but very interesting locations that greatly enhanced the experience. He took extra steps to give us a unique and informative experience. We would without hesitation recommend him to others who are interested in learning about as well as seeing the sights.
We had a blast with Ryan. His van was very spacious and clean. It was a wonderful end to our trip in Alaska. We did an individualized tour in the evening for 7. He picked us up at our hotel in Seward at 3:30pm. We requested that there would be hikes to waterfalls. We saw much more. Saw salmons, mountain goats, moose, and baluga whales. Had a wonderful barbecue at his home near the airport. Then he dropped us at the airport in Anchorage for our flights home.
We will stop and see: -Drive up through the Kenai mountains with stops along the way to take photos of one of Alaska's most scenic highways. - Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, to visit Alaska's wildlife in this sprawling zoological park. - Girdwood & Alyeska Ski resort, for an optional tram ride up Mt. Alyeska. - Lunch in Girdwood - Beluga point, to get a good look at Turnagain Arm's powerful tides and maybe spot a mountain sheep. *substitutions can be made for places in the itinerary
