I was born and raised in Alaska like my mother before me. I grew up traveling the state with my father as he worked on construction sites as an engineer. I have a B. A. in political science from the University of Alaska and there is little I don't know about Alaska history and culture. I am part Native-Alaskan (some people call them Eskimo) and know much about that part of my family tree. I am proud to be Alaskan and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Great Land with visitors from all over the world. Overview of your Anchorage tour
A tour with private transportation of the Alaska Native Heritage Center, a premier cultural center sharing the rich heritage of Alaska's 11 major cultural groups. While visiting you can explore six authentic life-sized Native dwellings situated in a wooded area around beautiful Lake Tiulana and are introduced to the traditional lifeways of the Athabascan, Inupiaq/St Lawrence Island Yupik, Yup'ik/Cup'ik, Aleut, Alutiiq, and the Eyak, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian peoples. We will briefly see the Alaska Native Medical Center, a world-class medical facility. Join me as I bring you on this Alaskan rich heritage tour!
