Welcome Visitors to the Great State of Alaska! You have come to the right place to experience Anchorage and the surrounding area. With its awe-inspiring views, countless wildlife, and endless activities, you will see why I and many others call the Last Frontier home. My name is Bruce, I moved to Alaska 28 years ago looking for adventure and to experience the challenges and beauty this majestic state has to offer. I have found all of that and more. Being an avid outdoorsman, I have taken all the opportunities that have come my way in this wilderness wonderland. I have sailed countless miles along the unspoiled coastline, floated hundreds of miles on the Yukon River, and explored the Artic numerous times, plus, many other adventures to long to list. Spending many years traveling for my job to remote villages and locations throughout the state, I have built a vast knowledge and enthusiasm for this great country that I like to share with others. It's not about what I have done in the past, but what I am now, which is a guide. I am a great communicator, and I get along with everyone. Working hard to provide you with an exceptional experience is my goal. I can customize any of the tours to accommodate your needs and desires. Just email me, and we can discuss your priorities. Every day is an adventure in life, and this especially holds true here, let's share one together! Boat Captains License First Aid Certified No restrictions.

In the Talkeetna Mountains, just outside of Palmer Alaska is a pristine area now known as Hatcher Pass, which derives its name from the first gold miner to lay claim in 1906, Robert Hatcher. With nearly 6 million dollars' worth of gold mined in the hard rock tunnels, it was one of the highest-yielding mines in the territory. In 1938, Alaska Pacific Mining Company bought it, and was named Independence Mine. Still standing are many of the buildings that were used and are open to the public. Besides viewing their living conditions, you will learn the rich history of the mine, and who knows, you may even see a ghost. We will also stop and visit the Eklutna Russian Orthodox Church, which is one of the oldest in the state and the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer. There you will get up close to these arctic mammals and learn their history and habits. Always be alert for wildlife such as moose, bears, eagles, etc. We will make numerous pause for pictures and to enjoy the awesome views.
