Welcome! My name is Greg and I've been a resident of Anchorage since 1981. I came here by motor home on vacation and I feel like I'm still on vacation. I worked in the fishing industry during the 80's and that sealed my love for Alaska. I next sold real estate through the 90's until 2004 and made many local friends. I have been leading tours between Seward and Fairbanks Alaska since 2008 and have driven that highway 100's of times. The thing so great about it is that it looks different every tour I drive. I love talking about Alaska and spreading the news about it. I would love to tell you and show you what I know about this beautiful state. I am very open to all destinations and tour ideas you may have. Class B Commercial Drivers Liscense. None

This is a 2 hour extension of the Anchorage City and Moose Hunt Tour, adding: -Touring Girdwood Alaska , 38 miles south of Anchorage -Enter into the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, 50 miles from Anchorage Enjoy an exciting and informative day exploring all four corners of the Anchorage bowl and further. Throughout the tour I'll be pointing out several areas affected by the 9. 2 earthquake that hit Alaska on Good Friday March 27th, 1964. From two different stops during the tour we may also be able to see Mt. Denali 230 miles away on a clear day, what a sight to see. In the 6. 5 hours of this amazing private tour you will find out what has kept me here for over 42 years. Who knows, you might stay too.
We will start with heading to all four corners of the city while seeing all the popular sights and maybe see a moose or two. I'll also show where the salmon run right through downtown. Popular sites include: *Anchorage Salmon Hatchery *Historical Downtown Anchorage *Earthquake Park *Lake Hood After making the rounds in the Anchorage bowl we will drive a short distance south to Beluga Point on the Turnagain Arm for some great photos and also may see some Dall Sheep. If the timing is right we may see people surfing the Turnagain Tidal Bore, quite a phenomenon. Then 25 more miles to tour Girdwood and for restrooms and refreshments. Then about 12 miles further along the Turnagain Arm to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, over 250 acres of all Alaska animals, we can drive or walk through. (Entrance fees not included) Most all my tours usually go over the scheduled duration, so I hope you don't mind spending a little more time with me. Also, please inquire about additional passengers.
