TOURSBYLOCALS SHINING STAR AWARD WINNER | LICENSED GUIDE & ART HISTORIAN | SKIP-THE-LINE ACCESS Being a guide is in my DNA- quite literally, in fact, as my mother, too, was a tour guide. Yet when I was young, I was determined NOT to become a guide, and obtained a Degree in Art History (2001). Of course, I wasn’t going to outrun my destiny that easily! To me, Barcelona is an ‘open-air museum’, and I soon found it unbearable to be locked away in an art gallery, while there was so much to see and show out on the streets. So, in 2010, I surrendered, and became a Fully Licensed Tour Guide. That day was the first day of the rest of my life, my personal “wow” moment, as I discovered my lifetime passion. I was recently awarded TBL’s SHINING STAR AWARD (2025), which was an enormous honour (although, of course, Barcelona’s only true shining star stands majestically at the top of the Sagrada Familia). Yet my true reward is when, at the end of a tour, I see my passion reflected in my guests. I just can’t help it… I don’t want you to like Barcelona; I want you to be blown away by Barcelona! If you read my reviews, you will see my guests leave eager to come back; which, I am delighted to say, many of them do, forging invaluable friendships over time. As your guide, I will take you over and beyond “sightseeing”. I don’t want you to just see Picasso, I want you to experience Picasso and understand what he meant to the 20th Century. I don’t want you to just see Gaudí; I want you to discover how his creativity, symbolism and deep connection to nature transform his monuments into multi-sensory experiences. I am so proud to be a barcelonina... I still get goose bumps when I remember the 1992 Olympic Games when, for the first time, we showed the world Barcelona’s tremendous potential. Barcelona is nothing short of a masterpiece, the Mediterranean turned into a city; a city where the streets are structured but façades are shaped like waves. A city built on a base of solid engineering, but overflowing with creativity, like Gaudí’s architecture. Barcelona is so much more than can be seen at face value, and my mission is to do justice to our heritage by showing you, my guests, the hidden layers and details, so you too have that “wow” moment. It would not only be a pleasure, but a true honour to be your guide. So, wait no more, and let my Barcelona blow you away! Hasta pronto, fins aviat, see you soon!

Actually we changed our schedule. Suzi did outstanding work to give us more Gaudi which was of greater interest for us . She got us sold out entry to the Gaudi cathedral church and took us to his colonial church in the workers village outside of Barcelona. A really special up close and personal view of Gaudi’s work Suzi has an incredible sense of what the client really...

Stuart and Stephanie, thank you for your beautiful words. Returning to the Sagrada Família with you felt like entering a living memory, where stone, light and emotion breathe together. Nothing is repeated here, everything deepens. Stuart, your childhood dream of driving a bus at 7, and later touching that reality in Chicago, stayed with me inside Gaudí’s world, like...

Stewart and Stefanie, your words truly touched me. For guests like you, I always try to go beyond the expected—finding last-minute Sagrada Família tickets, adapting the day, and shaping the experience so it becomes personal and memorable. Traveling after loss is never easy, and sharing this time together with your daughter made it especially meaningful. And Kansas is...
We really enjoyed this tour and the expert local knowledge provided by Suzie. Her punctuality was greatly appreciated. Suzie was insightful and informative, directing our attention to various points of interest along the right to Montserrat. Suzie is unabashed when it comes to politely and courteously asking a large group taking forever at a “photo“ if we could jump in...

Once upon a Sunday afternoon near Barcelona, Montserrat became the setting for a day that lingers long after the mountains fade behind you. Scotty and Dawn arrived as guests and left as friends. Between stories of motorcycles, the Barcelona races, Basel, and family life, we found many connections, especially between Alastair and my son Alex. We never did share that döner...
