Let's answer this question visiting some of his constructions: - Passeig the Gràcia became the avenue where the wealthy Catalan families settled in the late nineteenth century. An emerged social class, that promoted the beginning of the economic development of Catalonia (now, the richest area of Spain). Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are some of its buildings. - The Park Güell, a luxury residential site, was the reality of a utopia for his friend and patron, Eusebi Güell. - The church of La Sagrada Família is the masterpiece of Gaudí, still unfinished and landmark of Barcelona. * Extend the tour one hour to visit the inside of one of the houses of Gaudí and to see how the bourgeoisie used to live - I recommend visiting La Pedrera

Francesc brought Gaudi’s work to life for us. He helped us see things we wouldn’t have noticed or understood on our own. As we were also new to Barcelona, he helped us understand the origins of the city and why it developed the way it was our first private tour, and we were delighted with the experience. Francesc is a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about Gaudi. We did this tour on our first day in Barcelona when we were still a bit jet-lagged and it was a great way to see the main sites without having to deal with any of the logistical details. Francesc is very knowledgeable about Gaudi and we all came away with a much better appreciation for Barcelona after this tour. This tour was so good I plan to have my son and his fiance do it when they are in Barcelona for their honeymoon next year - so that speaks for itself!
This was our first experience with a private tour and it was worth it. Much better than a “canned” tour in a big group. Francesc was so knowledgeable and personable! Great insights into the modernist architecture and how it reflected the society of that era. We learned so much. When we needed some water to hydrate or a rest room, he accommodated our needs. Highly recommend!
