The Wonders of Gaudí. 4.5 Hour Tour.

All I can say is Fantastic!!! Suzie is the best!!! She communicated well and in an expeditious manner prior to our tour. She was energetic and passionate about the tour. I will most definitely use here again next time we are in Barcelona!!

At Park Güell, for example, Suzie pointed out the different architectural influences in the columns, including Doric and Corinthian styles, and explained how Gaudí incorporated and reinterpreted classical architecture. She also helped us appreciate the uniqueness and craftsmanship of the ceramic tile work and explained why the homes and other structures were positioned where they were within the park. These were details we easily could have walked past without understanding their significance. At Casa Batlló, she again brought the architecture to life by highlighting features we never would have fully appreciated on our own—from the design and placement of the windows to the staircases and the fascinating “echo chamber.” Her explanations helped us understand how all of these individual elements connected to Gaudí’s broader vision and made the house feel like much more than simply a beautiful building. Suzie was also incredibly responsive and patient throughout the entire experience. From the time we booked the tour, she was quick to answer our questions and help with the details, and during the tour she welcomed all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed. What impressed us even more was that her helpfulness continued after the tour. When we mentioned that we planned to explore more of Gaudí’s work on our own, she sent us links and recommendations for additional Gaudí architecture and places to visit. That extra effort was greatly appreciated and showed how genuinely invested she was in making our entire Barcelona experience special, not just the hours we spent with her. Suzie is warm, funny, personable, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable. She never made the tour feel like a lecture; instead, it felt like exploring Barcelona with someone who genuinely loves the city and knows exactly which stories and details will make you stop, look more closely, and appreciate what you are seeing. Our full day Barcelona tour with Suzi was one of the best guided tours we have ever experienced.
