1882 the first stone of Sagrada Familia is set. No one imagined its repercussion. Today, construction continues and Sagrada Familia has become the image of Barcelona. Antoni Gaudí worked 43 years on it and left it unfinished for future architects, sculptures and engineers to complete it. I will make you FEEL the site: every time I step in the Basilica I get goose bumps and you will get them too. Never mind how many photos you have already seen or how good they are, any pays tribute. Sagrada Familia is a personal experience and an unforgettable one. I will express my passion to the site and explain its past, its present and its future so you will realize the huge architectonic challenge it implies and will be amazed by the creative ingenuity of Gaudí who wanted to bring nature to humanity through architecture. We enjoyed our private tour with Maica. She was very knowledgeable and demonstrated passion when sharing information about the Sagrada Família. As there were several tours surrounding us it may be helpful to use an audio guide to better her the information that she was sharing with us.
Maica was absolutely amazing!! She went the extra mile with us to procure tickets on a sold-out week that fit a *very* tight time window. Her tour of Sagrada Família was superb, expertly tailored to engage my young teenage daughter. Would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone looking to see Barcelona!

Maica was a good hostess for our visit to Sagrada Familia, teaching us about the history of the building and some of its architectual points of interest. She had knowledgeable answers for our various questions and clearly showed her love for Barcelona and Sagrada Familia, even when overwhelmed by visitors as it was on the day of our visit (and apparently now pretty much every day!) Maica had pre-arranged our tickets, including to ascend the tower (sadly we could not do so on the day of our visit as it was closed due to rain), and the entry process was smooth. While the on-site museum is informative, there is nothing quite as helpful as having a personal guide showing you around and answering your questions, and Maica was a good choice.
We will start in a park opposite the temple to take the best photo of the site and where an introduction will be given. Then we will enter and proceed as follows: - Nativity Façade, the one Gaudí did during his lifetime. - Inside the Basilica. - Pasión Façade, finished in 1982. - The School that Gaudi built for the children's workers. - Museum to know better the architect and his modus operandi. After the tour you can stay as long as you want inside the church. Attention: - Do not book this tour without asking about the Temple's availability to avoid dissapointments. - The availability of this tour can be affected by Mass celebrations. - Dress code : Shoulders covered and shorts and skirts close to knee length. Tour run rain or shine.
