Florentino is the kind of guide that you wish you could share a bottle of wine and just talk. We connected immediately. She was so considerate of our needs and interests. She knew half the guides and security folks and shepherded us thru the property, seamlessly. We went early to avoid the crowds. The Black Madonna was breathtaking. Oddly, a storm the night before stirred up some early morning fog contributing to an ethereal atmosphere for an unforgettable day. Florenta, thank you!!!

Florenta is magical! She picked us up in front of our hotel and has a very clean, comfortable car. We learned a lot about the Catalan region on our way to Montserrat. I recommend taking this tour of Montserrat with Florenta. It is lovely to be picked up at your desired location by Florenta in her very comfortable car. Your Barcelona tour itinerary

Basilica & La Moreneta Inside the Basilica, we see La Moreneta — the Black Madonna — from within the church. If you wish to get closer, we can arrange access accordingly. Escolania Boys’ Choir If available during our visit, we focus on attending the 1:00 PM performance. Hearing one of Europe’s oldest boys’ choirs in this sacred setting is often the most moving moment of the day. Panoramic Walk A gentle walk to the Cross of Saint Michael offers the best views over the valley and monastery. Return to Barcelona We head back with a deeper understanding of Montserrat’s spiritual and cultural significance.
