Discover the main attractions and most important sites of the city of Barcelona in the hand of an expert licensed guide. Barcelona has got two very differentiated faces: • The Medieval town (the Rambles, the Gothic Quarter and the Jewish Quarter included); • The modern Barcelona that was built from 1860, following a rational urban design that is considered one of the earliest modern urban planning in Europe. Get to know both in a comprehensive visit that will focus in the core part of the city. This is the perfect way get to know the two different Barcelonas, while understanding the city as a whole. An amazing tour that will not leave you indifferent!
Wonderful guide! Highly recommend!!
Mark was a great guide. He was extremely knowledgeable but also very personable. He was excellent on communicating with me the entire process (planning through the actual day of our meet up for the tour). I most appreciated how flexible to make the tour tailored to our wants and desires. Some of the other guides seemed to have a formula and all seemed the same. Thank you Mark! Well done and will definitely use you again if in Barcelona and will send family and friends❣️
We truly enjoyed our tour with Mark. He is extremely knowledgeable, intelligent, enjoyable and easy to talk to. We learned so much about the rich history of Barcelona.
Mark was an excellent guide! He made all the places we visited came alive! We especially appreciated his Picasso museum tour It gave us a greater understanding of Picasso’s art and we really enjoyed that Overall, it was a great experience and we highly recommend Mark!
Mark was ań excellent guide. His knowledge of history and culture was outstanding. He also took the time to make sure we were comfortable as we walked around the city. We would highly recommend him!
We spent a second day with Mark on a private walking tour of Barcelona—moving through both the old city and the newer parts of town, and finishing with extended time at the Sagrada Família. It was a completely different kind of day from Montserrat the day before, and just as strong. What stood out here was Mark’s ability to help us understand the city as a whole. Barcelona isn’t just a collection of landmarks—it’s layers, built over time—and Mark guided us through those layers in a way that made sense. The transitions from the Gothic Quarter to the broader city never felt disjointed. Everything connected. Sagrada Família Was the intentional high point of our time in Barcelona and this is where he really elevated the experience. This is a place that can easily overwhelm, or just as easily turn into a checklist of features if you’re on your own. Mark didn’t let either happen. His background in art became especially valuable here. He didn’t just point things out—he helped us see them. The symbolism, the intent behind the design, the way Gaudí used form, light, and structure to tell a story—it all came into focus without ever feeling academic or over-explained. He gave us enough to understand what we were looking at, and then let us take it in. He also managed the pace of the visit well. We had time to absorb the space, to look up, to step back, to notice details we would have missed entirely on our own. In a place like that, time matters, and he handled it thoughtfully. Like the day before, everything felt smooth—no wasted motion, no confusion, no sense of being rushed along. And the tour came complete with an excellent personal set of recommendations for dining options later that we scoped out before he left. If you’re visiting Barcelona and especially planning to see the Sagrada Família, having a guide like Mark makes a significant difference. He brings clarity to a complex city and depth to one of its most extraordinary spaces.
