TOURSBYLOCALS SHINING STAR AWARD WINNER | LICENSED GUIDE & ART HISTORIAN | SKIP-THE-LINE ACCESS Being a guide is in my DNA- quite literally, in fact, as my mother, too, was a tour guide. Yet when I was young, I was determined NOT to become a guide, and obtained a Degree in Art History (2001). Of course, I wasn’t going to outrun my destiny that easily! To me, Barcelona is an ‘open-air museum’, and I soon found it unbearable to be locked away in an art gallery, while there was so much to see and show out on the streets. So, in 2010, I surrendered, and became a Fully Licensed Tour Guide. That day was the first day of the rest of my life, my personal “wow” moment, as I discovered my lifetime passion. I was recently awarded TBL’s SHINING STAR AWARD (2025), which was an enormous honour (although, of course, Barcelona’s only true shining star stands majestically at the top of the Sagrada Familia). Yet my true reward is when, at the end of a tour, I see my passion reflected in my guests. I just can’t help it… I don’t want you to like Barcelona; I want you to be blown away by Barcelona! If you read my reviews, you will see my guests leave eager to come back; which, I am delighted to say, many of them do, forging invaluable friendships over time. As your guide, I will take you over and beyond “sightseeing”. I don’t want you to just see Picasso, I want you to experience Picasso and understand what he meant to the 20th Century. I don’t want you to just see Gaudí; I want you to discover how his creativity, symbolism and deep connection to nature transform his monuments into multi-sensory experiences. I am so proud to be a barcelonina... I still get goose bumps when I remember the 1992 Olympic Games when, for the first time, we showed the world Barcelona’s tremendous potential. Barcelona is nothing short of a masterpiece, the Mediterranean turned into a city; a city where the streets are structured but façades are shaped like waves. A city built on a base of solid engineering, but overflowing with creativity, like Gaudí’s architecture. Barcelona is so much more than can be seen at face value, and my mission is to do justice to our heritage by showing you, my guests, the hidden layers and details, so you too have that “wow” moment. It would not only be a pleasure, but a true honour to be your guide. So, wait no more, and let my Barcelona blow you away! Hasta pronto, fins aviat, see you soon!

More than a century ago, a revolution called Gaudi hit Barcelona. This artistic genius had fascinating ideas and capabilities. Starting with the design of a chair, he won the deep trust and financial backing of Güell, who in the end would hand him an entire residential park, Park Güell, to design to his heart's desire. Yet this unique project never flourished, ending up as a garden city frozen in 1914. Why? Join me to find out. Next, we'll visit Gaudi's most sacred project, his lifetime work, to which he devoted and left everything: the Sagrada Familia. Find nature in every detail of this whimsical forest which, today still, is Barcelona's major work in progress. Only after understanding Park Güell and Sagrada Familia can we move on to Paseo de Gracia, where the new bourgeoisie was on a mission to show off its affluence by building majestical houses. Experience extravagance first hand and complete the full picture of Gaudi as we visit the wonders of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
Meet & Greet: You can choose the meeting point—hotel or anywhere convenient. I suggest starting at the tour’s first location to save time. Suggested Itinerary: • Park Güell: A playful, open space showcasing Gaudí’s creativity and innovative ideas (INTERIOR VISIT). • Sagrada Família: Gaudí’s masterpiece (INTERIOR VISIT). If you wish to include the towers, please let me know upon booking. Note: there are 400 steps down, and children under 7 are not allowed. • Casa Batlló & La Pedrera: Stunning façades reflecting the opulence and inventive spirit of Barcelona’s Gilded Age (EXTERIORS ONLY). To visit the interior of a Gaudí house, I recommend Casa Batlló—book my tour “WONDERS OF GAUDÍ” 🔍 for a guided inside visit. All tours are customizable to extend duration or add content. Don’t hesitate to contact me to adjust your tour. Your satisfaction is my priority!

During this tour, we will use taxis for the longer distances, as time is tight and walking would slow us down. On rare occasions, if taxis are unavailable, we may use the metro. If you have any specific transportation or mobility requests/preferences, please let me know in advance. A private, chauffeur-driven car can be arranged and paid in situ (€200). I strive to make the tour as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for you. If you have any specific transportation or mobility requests/preferences (from the subway to a chauffeur-driven private car), please let me know in advance.

Park Güell Carretera del Carmel Entrance Gate (by the bus parking near the drink kiosk, before crossing the street). I usually like to start at Park Güell so we can make the most of our time together, but if you’d prefer a hotel pickup, just let me know and I’ll do my best. I look forward to showing you the uniqueness of Gaudí!
