The half day spent with Tate was an awesome experience notwithstanding the time constraints. She packed a lot into the time. The cathedral was the highlight of the visit but we also appreciated the culture and just experiencing the aura of the city including the attention to art (which I loved) and the historic sites. Learning about how residents lived in the past compared to the way they live now was very interesting especially how much of it remained the same today. The preservation of culture was intriguing. Additionally, she was patient with us and ensuring that we enjoyed our time. Besides her knowledge she was passionate about what she did and that passion kept us engaged throughout the tour. We must go back because there is so much more to see and we certainly don't mind using Tate again. She was great. Sagrada Família itself? Its amazing the attention given to the details. The story line embedded in the architecture itself. It was a spiritual experience that left us in awe. I cannot recall seeing such a creative use of color in architecture before. It wasn't quite finish and we learnt that the Pope was scheduled to visit the following week. It would be good to see the finish product when we return.

Overview of your Barcelona tour
You will get the most of the 2 hours as I am a real expert in Gaudí, the most famous architect in history. I was born in Reus, the same city, and our families knew each other. As a journalist, I have written very many bookguides, essays and articles about Gaudi's works. Once inside we will visit the central nave, the museums, and the school. If, in the peak season, tickets for the inside are sold out, I will give you the money back for the tickets and we will visit the open areas. An unforgettable experience. Don't miss the chance of getting along with an expert in Gaudí, and a writer of guidebooks on Gaudí. I suggest to do the tour in the afternoon, 15-17h or 16-18h when the sun is at the west side, and its rays through the warmed coloured stained glass windows -red, orange, yellow- create wonderful effects in the central nave.
