Upon arrival to Santiago Compostela , you will be immediately struck by the sense of history in this old city, with its main plaza, narrow winding streets, ancient buildings and the grand Cathedral, featuring one of the world's most impressive Romanesque facades.

Depart the pier in a private van and drive to Baiona. Upon arrival in Baiona Old Quarter we will walk through the winding cobblestone streets, passing the cloistered Convent of the Dominicas, the Misericordia Chapel, and Casa Lorenzo Correa that serves as Baiona's Town Hall and the Monterreal Fortress. Constructed in the 14th century, the walled fortress now contains a luxury hotel that resembles a Galician manor house.

You'll then drive along the beautiful coast of Galicia to La Guardia, near the border with Portugal, to visit Mount Santa Tecla. En route to the summit, you will stop at an Iron Age settlement.

Continuing to Valenca do Minho, Portugal, an attractive town that invites you to visit its streets filled with pottery, linen & crockery. Cross over Minho River that forms the border between the 2 countries and enjoy the spectacular views. You'll have some time on your own to wander around and browse the shops.

Join me for this spiritual experience from Vigo to Redondela and walk the Coastal Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela on one of the 9 recognized routes. By walking these trails you will experience what to be a pilgrim means.

You will learn about the origins of the Camino, the way to accomplish it, how to get to the "Compostela" and which are the symbols while walking this path. The route crosses part of the city and gets into a green forest and rural area with amazing views over the estuary.

In the end, we will arrive at Redondela, where the Portuguese and the Coastal Portuguese ways join. Redondela is a vibrant town, receiving pilgrims during Camino peak season where we will summarize emotions and experiences and enjoy a well-deserved break.

It's not necessarily a religious route, as it was recognized as the first European Cultural Itinerary. So come with me and sense the sounds of nature, feel the positive spirit, and learn about the history of this unique experience.
