Míriam was a fabulous guide with all kinds of interesting tidbits to share during our Barcelona tour which made it all that more enjoyable. The four of us agreed she was one of the best guides we've had (and we've done a lot of traveling together). Even though we had been to Barcelona before, she created an even better experience this time around.

Mariam J was a wonderful tour guide. Before we set off to discover Barcelona, she shared an overview of the timeline from Roman to the Spanish Inquisition. The map she shared showed both past and present Barcelona. Walking the city, Mariam would reference back to the history that we found very interesting. We never would have seen so much without her. Mariam expertise made our tour amazing. I wished we had another day to spend with Mariam.
We have used Tours by Local many times and Miriem's tour was by far the best we have ever had. Her knowledge was very apparent and her willingness to share this information clearly was very useful. She was very personable and we enjoyed our time with her very much. We would highly recommend attending her tour.
Miriam was quite knowledgeable. However, we were quite disappointed that she spent a significant amount of time trying to discourage us from going up in the towers of the Sagrada Família. Miriam knew our ages way ahead of time but waited until we were standing in front of her to say we shouldn’t try the towers. My husband and I are very fit for our ages and had no trouble descending the stairs of the towers. Also, Miriam spent quite a lot of time on her cell phone during the first part of the tour. At the end of the tour, as we were waiting to take the elevator up into the Passion Tower at the Sagrada Família, Miriam announced the tour was over and left us to find our own way back to our hotel. If my husband didn’t speak a good amount of Spanish, we would have been in big trouble.

This is primarily a WALKING TOUR designed to let you soak in the atmosphere of the old city. For our second part of the tour we'll take TAXI ride- passing by the best of the city- Passeig de Gracia where the Gaudí Houses are and then straight to Sagrada Familia. Is the perfect way to see the icons without the extra legwork. However, if you'd prefer the comfort of a Private Van for this ride, just let me know. I can easily arrange a premium vehicle for you. You can settle the payment directly on the day of the tour- whatever is most convenient for you, whether it's a credit card or cash. If you prefer public transportation you need to count on 20 euros. Private Luxurious Van it would be around 250 euros.
