I am an experienced Tour Guide, as well as a Food and Relocation Specialist. I have been writing travel guides as well as food & travel articles for the last 20 years. I've lived in a number of countries, including Hong Kong, Vietnam, France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal & the Netherlands, and my passion is to discover and learn as much as possible, plus to be able to share what I learn. I am passionate about languages, nature, cooking, and culture. I speak fluent English, Italian, French, and Spanish, plus I have language certificates in Dutch, Portuguese, and Cantonese. My passion to discover and make delicious dishes around the world lead me to study professional cooking, and even now I take cooking classes in every country I live or visit in order to understand cuisines around the world. I 've also studied literature, publishing, first aid, and tourism, in order to become a Tour Guide to be able to assist you to the best of my ability. Thanks to these studies in Tourism, languages and in the culinary arts, together with my friendly & outgoing personality, I believe that being a Tour Guide is the perfect fit for me. I will be able to guide you through Barcelona and make tailored itineraries for you, recommending or even taking you to great places to eat. I'll show you all the great places in the city and its surroundings, trying to bring them to life with historical anecdotes and local legends. You can count on me being punctual and reliable, ensuring that every minute of each tour is well-spent. On this private tour, I'll guide you through the most interesting areas of the Roman city of Barcelona, exploring historical streets & tasting some great local food. I'm not just a local tour guide, I'm also a professional chef and foodie, so you'll get the best of both worlds! I'll explain the history, legends, local curiosities & culture of this fabulous city, plus offer you a unique insight into Spanish cuisine. In 3.5 hours I'll be showing you all the major sites in the old city and, if time allows, beyond the old Roman walls. We'll walk past ancient buildings & experience the rich vibe of Barcelona. Along our tour, we'll stop at great little gems to taste local food. We'll also enter local markets and a number of historical sites. Our tour will take place mainly in the Gothic Quarter but if you have more time we can also visit other areas such as the Born neighborhood and can go as far as Barceloneta and the Old Port (let me know in advance so I can suggest a tailored and extended itinerary for you).
(The order of the itinerary might change depending on the tour's starting time). ·The tour will start once we meet in Plaça Catalunya or another location of your choice. ·We'll then go around the Gothic Quarter as I show you iconic spots, beautiful monuments and off-the-beaten-track areas, stopping at a number of eateries to taste delicious local food. ·We'll proceed to visit the Barcelona Cathedral, placa Filipo Neri, and the Bisbe bridge. ·Afterwards, we'll reach a secluded temple in the heart of Barcelona. ·Later, we will visit 2 squares in the city, Plaça de Sant Jaume & Placa del Rei (The King's Square). ·We'll then find ourselves wondering through small Romans streets and pass by El Call (Barcelona's former Jewish Quarter). ·Next, we'll arrive to Santa Maria del Pi church. ·We'll proceed to a bustling square and try the best Churros in Barcelona! ·Afterwards, we'll head to the Rambla and visit La Boqueria's market. ·At last, we'll finish our tour in Plaça Reial to admire Gaudi's first work.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
