Overview of your Barcelona tour
This is a walk through 1500 years of the history of Barcelona and its key places. From Roman Barcino to the splendor of the Kingdom of Aragon and Catalunya that dominated the Mediterranean sea between the XII and XIV centuries. During this 4 hour walking tour we will explore the narrow and winding alleys that compose the medieval part of Barcelona. Those streets and alleys were not built to be driven by cars so the best way to explore this section of the city is on foot. We will see palaces, romanesque churches built more than one thousand years ago, the XIV century Barcelona's cathedral with its cloister and We will walk through the old jewish quarter. We don't have to forget about the roman remains: tombs, remains of the old wall and the temple dedicated to Augustus.

-Catalunya Square -La Rambla and will explore the narrow alleys that compose the Gothic Quarter or -Medieval Barcelona -Santa Anna's church (XII century) -Petritxol street -Santa Maria del Pi basilica (XIV century) -The Old Jewish Quarter and the Medieval Synagogue of Barcelona -Barcelona's Cathedral (XIV century) -King's Square -Born District -Santa Maria del Mar Basilica (XIV century) -Montcada street and the different palaces that compose nowadays the Picasso Museum -Saint James Square (City Hall and the President's Palace) -Fresh Food Market of La Boqueria on La Rambla.

This is mainly a walking tour, Old City Barcelona was not built to be driven by cars or mini vans, the streets and alleys are very narrow. Most of the streets we will explore are just for pedestrians. All the streets are paved and we can avoid steps by using ramps. We shall use taxi/subway/private transportation to go to the starting point of the tour or to get back to your hotel/apartment/cruise ship terminal (transportation is not included in the price of the tour).
