Moises was the perfect guide for this tour, very personable and a wealth of knowledge. He really got to know us and our tastes in food and drink. At every stop, we were treated to a sampling of varied Tapas and drinks as well as the history of Spain, particularly, Barcelona. Moises gave us a deep and rich experience of both food and drink in his local neighborhood. We learned about and experienced the local food culture, including getting a couple of us to try a few paired wines even though we don’t normally drink alcohol. What an absolutely outstanding experience! Moises (our guide) was such a super host and his passion for the wonderful city of Barcelona was evident throughout our time with him. From start to finish, he immersed us in the spirit of Barcelona and introduced us to the history, the culture, the food (of course) and everything the local neighborhood had to offer. Moises was so attentive to the needs and preferences of our group, fully adapting and catering to the individual food allergies and taste/texture preferences of each one of our group. He asked questions, he listened, and then he curated and tailored a tasting menu at each of our food & drink stops that met each persons tastes and needs, while introducing us to the traditional and unique cuisine of local tapas, local drinks, and the customs and etiquettes. We truly felt he understood what we wanted to get out of the tour, what we were open to experiencing and more importantly what we needed to avoid (food allergy), what we preferred to avoid (taste / specific food aversions), and he delivered above and beyond our expectations. Our entire group had such an amazing time and tasted some fantastic food, sampled some lovely drinks and just for a short time, we all felt like a local. If you are interested in going off the beaten path, avoiding the highly trafficked tourist areas, you simply cannot go wrong by booking with Moises.
