Welkom! I'm Hans, a true Dutchman and tourism professional since 2010. In 2025, I earned my taxi-drivers license, which means I obey all the Dutch laws, when it comes to guiding and driving you safely through the Netherlands. Together we discover the most beautiful places in the Dutch countryside, as new friends. I live in Rotterdam, where I was born and raised. After 32 years teaching at an elementary school, I decided it was time for a change and became a tour guide. During my working years in The Netherlands, I travelled a lot. From 1980 I travelled to different countries outside Europe. Since 2010 I am guiding groups in especially India, but also Nepal and Bhutan. And since 2022, after Covid, I have been working as a private guide in the Netherlands. The Netherlands is such a beautiful country and I love to explore it with you. The green meadows with cows and above it the Dutch blue skies with some clouds. Just like a 17th-century Dutch painting. In springtime decorated with the most amazing colors of blooming flower fields, yellow daffodils, red tulips, white fragrant hyacinth fields. It's a beautiful scenery that you can't see anywhere else. Place a few windmills there and you have the perfect Dutch landscape. To make sure people can still fall in love with the Dutch countryside in the future, I offer my tours sustainably. We travel off the trotted (and often harmful) tourist paths, try to reduce CO2 and when not possible compensate the emissions. Our time at gardens was wonderful….and having Hans with us gave us great insight into where everything was. The flowers were beautiful -especially since it was nearing the end of the season!

Thank you Phil. Apologies for the hick-up picking you up from your cruise ship in IJmuiden. In Google Maps the name of the cruise terminal directed me to the ferry terminal and not to the location of your cruise ship. Lesson learned! Glad you enjoyed the tulip even at the end of season!

Our custom tour was perfect in every way. Hans was a terrific guide. I gave him a general idea of what we would like to see. He covered it all and shared his extensive knowledge. Hans is an excellent guide. Very informative. Gave us sufficient time in the tulip gardens and made sure we saw the best parts. We also enjoyed the windmills. The lunch at a local restaurant was wonderful. His English was very fluent and his teacher skills shined through.
