I have been living in Bordeaux since 2009, working as a tour guide specialising in History, Wine, Gourmet, Art and Culture. I have experience guiding visitors from English, German, and Greek speaking countries around Bordeaux, Saint Emilion, Medoc chateaux, Sauternes, Lascaux and Arcachon. I've even organised and guided travels to Greece over the past few years. I have a double diploma in Business Economics & IT from the Fachhochschule Reutlingen, Germany. I'm an online student at the Adult Education program at the National Archeological University of Athens. I completed courses on Ancient Greek Theatre, Art and Architecture in Ancient Greece from the Palaeolithic Age to the Hellenistic Age, Ancient Greek Philosophers, and more. Since 2011 I have given regular presentations at the Bordeaux USA Association on History, Art, and Culture (such as Bordeaux History and Wine, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Lascaux and Chauvet caves, Shakespeare, Henry VIII and his 6 wives, Alexander the Great, Philipp of Macedon, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt, etc.) I do not have a license to guide inside museums. However, this has never been an issue: Bordeaux museums are small and provide excellent audio guides. The beauty of the city is the outdoors, all the monuments and what's in your wine glass!
