Fluent in English, German, and Greek, I’m a natural storyteller with a deep love for history, art, wine, and culture. With over a decade of experience in guiding, I bring a rich perspective to Bordeaux’s past and present — from Roman Roots, through the Middle Ages, the Wine Business, the French Revolution, and up to Modern Life in Bordeaux. I’ve guided curious travellers through Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, Sauternes, Poitiers, Lascaux, and Arcachon. Whether you’re drawn to medieval intrigue, ancient civilisations, the intricacies of the Bordeaux wine, or you're just looking for an authentic walk through this city, I’ll tailor the experience to match your interests and your pace. Expect insider tips on the best local spots — and plenty of good stories along the way. Let’s make history come alive — together!

Commence this exclusive experience kicking things off from a spot in which wine was traded and exported around the world. We will pass by several landmarks which are unique to the wine trade, until we settle comfortably in an elegant wine bar in the city centre. There, you will taste 3 wines from different Bordeaux areas: Medoc, Graves, Saint Emilion, Sauternes, or Cremant. During this tasting, I will narrate the History of Bordeaux wine: from the Romans who first brought the vines to Bordeaux, to Eleanor of Aquitaine in the Middle Ages who never travelled without a barrel of Bordeaux, from the global wine trade in the 17th century, all through the famous Classification of 1855, which made Bordeaux rise to international fame and fortune. From the grapes and the vineyards, to the harvest til it reaches your glass: I will explain the famous blending of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and how each Bordeaux wine area has its unique character. Which one will be your favourite?
-We begin our tour at the iconic Place de la Bourse. -We'll continue to the Place de Parliament and weave our way through the rue Saint Remi, which is full of modern day wine bars and restaurants. -We'll then reach the Cours du Chapeau-Rouge, where the richest wine traders and negotiants lived in the 19th century. -We'll pass by plenty of nearby shops, should you wish to pick up some souvenirs. -Finally we'll reach the central wine bar where the tasting will take place. It is located in the grand Maison de Vins, which houses the official Sommelier school of Bordeaux. We will enjoy our tasting among wine experts and locals who appreciate this precious secret place in Bordeaux. -Close to this wine bar, there's also specialized wine shops we'll be able to visit, that will allow you to purchase the Bordeaux wine of your choice, and even allow you to ship them internationally if you wish. This itinerary is able to be customized to best align to your specific interests.
