Bonjour from Bordeaux! I can't wait to share my beautiful city with you. My primary goal is for you to enjoy yourself and hopefully fall in love with this magnificent region of France. I adore being a guide and have given almmost 400 tours in Bordeaux; go check out my reviews to see what my past clients have said! Whether you are here for the wine or just to have a French adventure, I will ensure that you make the most of your time. My tours are flexible and customized to each client so please tell me a bit about yourself so I can tailor our time together to suite your interests. I will show you the most beautiful monuments and architectural highlights; I can give you the dates and names of architects or I can simply tell you the anecdotes that make the monuments special to us. I will not let you leave Bordeaux without learning about the legendary Eleanor of Aquitaine, the most influential woman of the Middle Age who altered European history for centuries. I have so many stories to tell you and will answer any questions you have about Bordeaux's past or present. If I don't know the answer, I will find it and get back to you! As a food enthusiast, I have made it my mission to discover the best that Bordeaux has to offer and I will share with you all of my favorite restaurants and gourmet shops. Whether you want fine dining or a quiet riverside picnic, I know where to take you. Now a little about me. . . . I am a dual citizen of America and France, born in the US and living in France for 20 years. I met my French husband in the US and after having my second child, I moved us all to France.. It was the best decision of my life and now that my children are older, I spend as much time as possible in cafés sipping espresso or wine. I have learned so much in my time here and I love sharing my knowledge and experiences with curious travelers. Bordeaux is a gorgeous city with so many layers of fascinating history. We are experiencing an actual renaissance at the moment so it is the perfect time for you to visit! I hope you are excited about your upcoming trip to Bordeaux. I would love to be your guide :) Credentials: Bachelor of Science from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Over 200 hours of professional and recreational cooking classes at L'Academie de Cuisine, the Cordon Bleu in Paris, and L'Atelier des Chefs in Bordeaux. **Outside of tourism, I work in animal rescue and train dogs so feel free to bring your canine friends along. France is a pet friendly country and dogs are welcome almost everywhere.

This is your chance to discover the regional culinary specialties, visit open air food markets and boutique food shops while interacting with the locals. I am a passionate foodie, have taken hundreds of hours of cooking classes and I will share all my secrets with you! Of course along the way we will see many of Bordeaux's historical monuments. I will customize this day to your tastes. You want chocolate? I know the best chocolate shops in the city. Cheese you say? Well, get ready for a dairy induced buzz like you have never experienced. Of course no Bordeaux trip would be complete without wine so I will take you to a wine shop where you will taste and/or buy some lovely Bordeaux wine. While Parisian fare is known to be delicate and fancy, Bordeaux cuisine is rich and hearty. Duck confit, foie gras, and steak frites are the local specialties. We are close to the shore so seafood is prominent as well. I will inquire about your tastes before you come and make sure you eat to your heart's content.
•Discover the open air food markets if your tour falls of the right days (Wed-Sun) •Open your palate with coffee and pastries unique to Bordeaux •Pop into chocolate and cheese shops for tasting •Visit a wine shop and wine bar for wine and snacks
