Taste of Bordeaux Tour

We took a gastronomic journey around Bordeaux with Stephanie and she did not disappoint. Not only did we taste wonderful bites around the city (the oysters and wine for breakfast being our favorite) but her depth of knowledge about the city gave us a true picture of the long history of Bordeaux. She is a fantastic guide and we highly recommend!!

Stephanie D was the best tour guide. Very personable, she had a great relationship with the staff at the places she took us to and you could tell she was genuinely liked. We loved getting to know her, about her family, about the city she called home. Equally so she was interested in who we were and our lives back in New Zealand. Our four hour tour was like spending time with a close friend and the food….such a treat to try things we would never have found (beautiful cannele, fresh cream pastries, Alain Ducasse chocolate and ice cream, the most amazong charcuerie board, fresh strawberries and sea snails from the market). Best tour of our nine week French adventure.

Delicious food, great wine and great conversation! We had a such a wonderful tour with Stephanie. She is very welcoming and makes you immediately feel as if you are meeting with a friend. Stephanie taught us historical facts of Bordeaux as well as what it is like to live in Bordeaux, all while enjoying delicious food and wine that the city has to offer. This tour was one of the most memorable parts of our trip and we now feel like we have a friend in Bordeaux.

Stephanie is very friendly & very knowledgeable about both the city & its history, and the best local places for food and wine. We had a delightful time. While we walked & used the tram to get around town, she gave us the background & history of what we were seeing. We stopped at selected venues that had the best of whatever we were tasting. She tailored our stops to our interests & tastes. This was a great way to get to know the city intimately in a single day. Highly recommended!

My husband and I took a tour with Stephanie on our first full day in Bordeaux. It made our whole time in Bordeaux so much more enjoyable! Not only did we get to enjoy some delicious local food, see some sights and learn some history of Bordeaux, Stephanie gave us tips on shopping, what to see, and where to eat. Stephanie is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local food, the wine and the history of the region. We had a great time with a wonderful guide.

We had an excellent day with Stephanie! Her knowledge of French culture and ability to compare and contrast it with American culture was fascinating. She showed us many of the "hidden gems" of Bordeaux that we could never have found on our own. This tour was the highlight of our week in France and one of the best we've had on any trip. She also stayed on schedule and had the perfect mix of active and more restful time on the tour, as we had requested.
