Bordeaux in the Shadow of WWII – A walk through history

We have traveled a good amount and have experienced a number of tour guides. Anna M is without question one of the best. Quite frankly, she may well be the best. Her Bordeaux – World War II tour is absolutely outstanding. She is knowledgeable of some of the most intricate and important details of that time, and a communicates them in a most interesting and engaging manner. Also had the opportunity simply to sit at a café and talk to her about history, culture, and politics, a very civil and insightful conversation. Would recommend this tour and this stellar tour guide without any reservation whatsoever. In my humble opinion, an absolute must if you visit Bordeaux! Thank you, Anna! Anna M. was not only knowledgeable and communicative but she also shared stories from people with first-hand experiences during WWII which made the tour that much more interesting. Guides can discuss the facts of WWII history but sharing the facts around people’s lives during that time made this a memorable experience not just a tour. Our tour with Anna has to have been one of the best experiences we have ever had with a tour guide. Her understanding of what we wanted was spot on. That coupled with her grasp of the topic and her ability to detail the events with words and graphics was over the top amazing. Our request was for a tour of Bourdeaux with an emphasis on WW2. She showed us maps, actual documents from that timeframe and details related to the architecture down to the naming of streets. One could not have asked for more. We highly recommend Anna if you are interested in Bordeaux. As a side note her English was excellent as well.
