Bordeaux History - Express Walking Tour

Anna’s tour gives an excellent overview of Bordeaux and explains how history has shaped the modern city we can explore today. We enjoyed the unique perspective of her entertaining and engaging tour, as well as the local insights she was able to offer into the Bordeaux way of life.

Anna did a wonderful job as we took her walking tour of Bordeaux. It was a terrific combination of history, architecture, current events, and of course, an overview of Medoc and other area wines. She is enthusiastic and a clear communicator and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.

Die Ausflüge nach Saint-Émilion und in den Médoc mit Weinverkostungen in renommierten Châteaux waren hervorragend organisiert. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, wie individuell Anna die Reise nach unseren Wünschen gestaltet hat – jedes Detail war perfekt durchdacht und hat unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Auch alle Restaurantempfehlungen waren ein voller Treffer. Wir können Anna als Reiseleiterin uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Anna. She spoke excellent English and gave us a great overview of the history of the Bordeaux region, the city’s architecture and the important sites. We would gladly take another of her tours if we return to the area.

Anna was a delightful, enthusiastic guide to the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Her knowledge of its history was extensive, and she carried a binder with photos of charts and historical information that made it helpful to understand the city’s rich history. Her communication skills were outstanding, and she couldn’t have been more flexible in terms of times and group size that kept changing and were completely out of our control. She had a delightful sense of humor and urged us to let her know if we needed to slow down, speed up, or get into the shade, as it was a steamy 91° day during our tour. She was a gem, and we would strongly recommend her!

Anna is a knowledgeable, pleasant and experienced guide who made our visit to Bordeaux a great experience. She explained the history, the development and the changes in the city.
