Hello Madame, Hello Monsieur! I am Guillaume , your guide for Bordeaux and the region ! Born and bred in the South West of France, I grew up surrounded by the food and wines treasures our region can offer (its wines, cheese, Foie-gras, cannelés, Armagnac. . . ) but also its beautiful landcapes and classified UNESCO sites (Saint Emilion, Dune du Pyla. . ). At age 20, I left my beloved south west to explore the world. 10 years spent abroat between North America, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, England , Mexico , India and many more countries. I worked in estates, restaurants, travel agencies, always loved being in contact with people. I came back in Bordeaux in 2018 for you guys :) I offer you travels like I would have loved mine to be. . . Joyful, instructive, unique, fun and customised. I want you to have the best time and really make memories. I want to share with you the passion I have for the region and you to embrace it ! It goes from having fun, being informative, eating good food, tasting good wines and mainly sharing good moments with good vibes. We will visit a mix of small family-owned properties but also the "Grand cru classé". You will be able to see and taste the difference but also learning how to taste. Upon your interest, we can choose the day to be a mix between learning technics, or historic facts or simply more focused on wine tastings. It's all up to you, it's your trip. The idea is you to have an unforgettable experience, that we can share some great times and also make you appreciate the region all the way to San Sebastian if you have multiple days Also, booking through ToursByLocals, I'll be able to deal directly with your demand and as a bonus, I'll be your guide once here. From experience it is different to book with an agency and then only get to know your guide last minute. I am your agency and your guide at once , so we already know eachother a bit before you arrive. I'll be able to give you tips upon arrival and you not to worry about trains, bus, logistic for pick-up and drop off. I have a large Mercedes Van that can accomodate up to 7 people and enough rooms for some luggage too! Don't hesitate, contact me for any enquiries and I'll try to make it happen ;) Guillaume (Frenchy for the friends) 17 years of experience in the Hospitality sector (Food and Beverage, Tourism). WSET level III certificate. I don't sing very well

If you love Cabernet Sauvignon, the finesse of Margaux, the power of Saint Estephe, stunning châteaux, this is the place to be! Médoc is the region where everything is dedicated to the wine. It might not have the charming medieval village but it has some medieval châteaux. It might not have the hills of St Emilion but it has the Garonne River and the Gironde further north. Médoc is by definition in between waters and it has the perfect soils to produce some exceptional wines. Made extremely famous thanks to the 1855 classification (still the same today), Médoc has evolved today to an unlimited wine paradise from Margaux all the way to St Estephe. Some perfect locals restaurant will host you in between 2 visits. We will visit some big names but also some small producers that make Médoc region unique.
- Drive from Bordeaux through the historic neighborhood of Chartrons, driving pass the iconic U-Boat base now called the "Bassin des lumières" -10am : Visit a first winery - 11.30 : Visit a second winery - 1pm : Lunch will be booked at a local restaurant I know or Picnic can also be arranged. - After lunch, we head to visit a third winery before heading back to Bordeaux. We normally visit 3 chateaux while in the Médoc or sometimes it's nice to just visit 2 chateaux + one tasting (otherwise it could be a bit repetitive in the day). That can be confirmed ahead with you upon your preference.

I will pick you up right outside your accommodation in a brand new Mercedes van (Vito tourer Select). Air-conditionned van, with microphone so you can all hear me well and you'll have access to the Wifi through my phone. You have plenty of space if you are 7 travellers. If your group has 8 people, please contact me ahead of the tour. There is also enough room at the back for your luggage.
