Fluent in English, German, and Greek, I’m a natural storyteller with a deep love for history, art, wine, and culture. With over a decade of experience in guiding, I bring a rich perspective to Bordeaux’s past and present — from Roman Roots, through the Middle Ages, the Wine Business, the French Revolution, and up to Modern Life in Bordeaux. I’ve guided curious travellers through Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, Sauternes, Poitiers, Lascaux, and Arcachon. Whether you’re drawn to medieval intrigue, ancient civilisations, the intricacies of the Bordeaux wine, or you're just looking for an authentic walk through this city, I’ll tailor the experience to match your interests and your pace. Expect insider tips on the best local spots — and plenty of good stories along the way. Let’s make history come alive — together!

Enjoy a delicious and fascinating discovery of Bordeaux! This tour leads you through the city centre where we'll cover all the major landmarks from the Roman times, the Middle Ages, the Golden Era (18/19th century), and of course, modern Bordeaux. It gives you a great overview of the city, an insight into its rich history around wine, trade, pilgrimage and modern life. Along the way, we'll stop at various places famous for their local specialities. This includes the elegant, almost two-centuries-old chocolate shop Cadiot Badie, which first opened in 1826 with its large selection of dark and milk chocolate pralines, plus other creations (both the tasting & the take-away chocolate selection are covered in the price). You'll also taste the Baillardran cannelés and the macarons that were first created in the 17th century, plus the modern Dunes Blanches, a pastry with a light creamy filling. Indulge your appetite & senses from the best of French living! (Local Cheese shop visit is optional upon prior request)
-Our tour would start at the Place de la Comedie with the Grand Theatre. -We'd then pass by the Maison de Vin CIVB and learn about the Gironde Wine Map. -We'd continue to the Place Quinconces to learn about the Monument aux Girondins. -We'd cross to the Allées de Tourny and learn about the Marches des Grands Hommes and enjoy a chocolate tasting at Cadiot Badie - We'd then head towards Place Gambetta for the tasting of the Dune Blanches - We'd stroll down rue Saint Catherine with all its shops and beautiful facades and sit down for a quick coffee (expresso or decaf) with macarons and cannelles at Bailadrans. - We'd have a brief stop at the Place du Parlement to admire the mascarons on the buildings. - Our tour would end on the iconic Place de la Bourse and its waterfront Mirror d'Eau. Resting spots are available if you prefer a slower pace. This itinerary could be fully customized to best meet your specific interests.
