Fluent in English, German, and Greek, I’m a natural storyteller with a deep love for history, art, wine, and culture. With over a decade of experience in guiding, I bring a rich perspective to Bordeaux’s past and present — from Roman Roots, through the Middle Ages, the Wine Business, the French Revolution, and up to Modern Life in Bordeaux. I’ve guided curious travellers through Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, the Médoc, Sauternes, Poitiers, Lascaux, and Arcachon. Whether you’re drawn to medieval intrigue, ancient civilisations, the intricacies of the Bordeaux wine, or you're just looking for an authentic walk through this city, I’ll tailor the experience to match your interests and your pace. Expect insider tips on the best local spots — and plenty of good stories along the way. Let’s make history come alive — together!

Overview of your Bordeaux tour

Enjoy a delicious and fascinating discovery of Bordeaux! This tour leads you through the city centre where we'll cover all the major landmarks from the Roman times, the Middle Ages, the Golden Era (18/19th century), and of course, modern Bordeaux. It gives you a great overview of the city, an insight into its rich history around wine, trade, pilgrimage and modern life. Along the way, we'll stop at various places famous for their local specialities. This includes the elegant, almost two-centuries-old chocolate shop Cadiot Badie, which first opened in 1826 with its large selection of dark and milk chocolate pralines, plus other creations (both the tasting & the take-away chocolate selection are covered in the price). You'll also taste the Baillardran cannelés and the macarons that were first created in the 17th century, plus the modern Dunes Blanches, a pastry with a light creamy filling. Indulge your appetite & senses from the best of French living! (Local Cheese shop visit is optional upon prior request)

Anna was awesome! I feel very lucky that we were able to have her as our guide! The communication and responses were great very very easy to meet up! She took us thru the history and highlights of Bordeaux from the cathedral to many other beautiful places. She kept the whole group engaged gave us choices about where to spend more or less time was very much in tune with what we wanted. She took us to a beautiful chocolate store and gave us a great wine history of the region. We loved spending time with Anna and highly recommend!
