Saint Emilion and Pomerol fine wines 1/2 day tour

After meeting in Bordeaux, we’ll set off in a private car toward Saint-Émilion. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to the main characteristics of Bordeaux wines, and the difference between Saint-Emilion and Pomerol appellations. You'll be welcome to ask any questions you might have about the region and its vineyards. Once at the first winery, we visit the vat room and the barrel cellar, and learn about the winemaking process that shapes the wines of this famous region. Then comes the highlight of the visit: the tasting! We’ll then drive to a second estate. After a short introduction to the property, you’ll taste several red wines, giving you the chance to compare them with the first ones and refine your palate. To end the experience, we’ll explore the historic village of Saint-Émilion. I’ll guide you through its picturesque, winding streets, and you’ll also get to sample the town’s other local speciality: the famous Saint-Émilion macarons!

Here is the outline of the tour, which can of course be adjusted if needed: - After about a 50-minute drive, we’ll arrive in Saint-Émilion. Our first stop will be at a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate for a guided tour and wine tasting (around 1 hour and 15 minutes). At least3 red wines tasted. - We’ll then take a short drive to a second winery in the Saint-Émilion appellation (or possibly Pomerol or Lalande-de-Pomerol) for another tasting (around 45 minutes). At least 3 red wines tasted. - Finally, we’ll enjoy a guided walk through the historic village (about 45 minutes) , as well as a tasting of local macarons, beofre heading back to Bordeaux.
