Malgosia was exceptional! She was communicative and thoughtful before we arrived in Bordeaux in the preparation of our tour. She picked us up from our hotel and our journey began. She explained the region and history all throughout the day and answered all of our questions. She chose three wonderful chateaus to visit and also gave us a detailed walking tour of Saint Emilion. She reserved a lovely lunch at a chateau overlooking the vineyards. At one chateau she had booked a wine and chocolate pairing which was fantastic. She saved the best for last - sharing one of her favorite chateaus with us. The day was absolutely perfect - from start to finish! I would highly recommend her services to anyone coming to the area. Hello, My name is Malgosia. Originally from Poland, having spent 9 years in the US (New York City) I ended up in the world wine capital some 15 years ago. When I graduated from a law school in my native country never had I thought I'd completely change my career paths and become a certified sommelier with a diploma obtained from the reputable CAFA wine school in Bordeaux. Together with my husband we work in the wine industry. I am also a former wine boutique owner which was located in the heart of Bordeaux, and presently run my company "Private Wine Tours Bordeaux" which organizes private, bespoke tours in the Bordeaux region to appellations like Médoc, Saint Emilion, Pessac-Léognan, Graves, Sauternes et. al. But that's not all: I will be happy to take you to Cognac or organize a trip to the Arcachon Bay with a picnic on the famous Pyla Dune. I love sharing my passion for wine and history and meeting travelers from all over the world. The fact that I come from a very different background and did not grow up surrounded by wines gives me a better understanding of my clients, who most of the time visit Bordeaux for the first time and have very little or no knowledge of this region. I always encourage them to ask me questions during their learning process. I often notice how they become less and less intimidated and more and more open to very interesting conversations. I am one of very few independent guides in the region who work with very small, thus intimate groups (only 2-4 ppl) driving my new SUV (the required transportation license as well as professional insurance up-to-date). Overview of your Bordeaux tour
My private wine tours feature visits to world's famous Saint Emilion vineyard in a very cozy and friendly atmosphere. I offer my tours to very small, thus intimate groups of only up to 4 people! I will guide you throughout this trip by giving you lots of interesting information that will help you understand the region and its wines. During this tour you will visit three chateaus from the Saint Emilion classification, including its latest update from 2022. If you prefer, the itinerary can include a mix of classified and non-classified, family estates. Please let me know. In between the visits we'll take a little walk in the very picturesque medieval town of Saint Emilion (UNESCO World Heritage Site) discovering its history and main monuments. You will also have a chance to sample Saint Emilion's sweet speciality - the delicious macarons. Of course there will be time for lunch.

Your Bordeaux tour itinerary
* 9 am : Pick-up from Bordeaux (or another location upon request if possible; extra charges may apply; please contact me before booking) * 1st visit at a classified chateau, discovering the vineyards, vat rooms, learning about wine making process, all followed by wine tasting (2-3 wines); * visit/wine tasting at the 2nd estate (2-3 wines) * A little walk in the town of Saint Emilion, strolling along its paved streets and main monuments, including a short stop for a little macaron tasting * A stop for lunch (not included in the price) * final wine tasting at the 3rd estate (2-3 wines). *Return to Bordeaux around 5:30-6pm (depending on the traffic) *Each of my tours can be customized.
