My wife and our 3 children decided it was time to return home to the Scottish Highlands and follow our hearts. We have made our home in Nairn, close to Inverness airport, Whisky Distilleries, Culloden, Castles, Standing Stones, Golf Courses, gorgeous beaches and the most amazing scenery. I am passionate about the Scottish Highlands, and would love to show you the best of the area, share some stories, explain the history, give you a flavour of life in the Highlands today and help to make your vacation a fun, interesting, memorable one. Having gained my whisky qualification, I developed a tour that gives a rounded overview of Speyside Whisky. The Distilleries have reduced the number of tours and the days that they run this year, so to avoid disappointment please let me know where you would like to visit and then I can check to see if they have spaces or trust in what I book for the day If you think you don't like whisky, then I believe that Speyside will change your mind! We drive through some stunning landscapes en route. We will talk about history and folklore while laughing along the way.
Matthew was 5 stars across the board. He communicated via email promptly throughout our booking, arrived on time/early, was extremely knowledgeable about the land, distilleries and in general all things Scotland! Great, clean and comfortable van for mode of transportation with bottled water included. We truly enjoyed our time with Matthew and would highly recommend and would absolutely book him again!
Matthew made the whole experience a lot of fun! He is extremely knowledgeable about many things and loves to be asked questions. He seemed to quickly assess our group and really customized his interactions with us accordingly so that we felt very comfortable as if he has known us for some time. He has a lot of energy which kept us going through a long day which including whiskey which normally would have made me want to sleep. He was engaging and very accommodating the entire time.
We had an amazing,memorable day with Matthew on a Speyside Whiskey Tour. The booking process was easy and Matthew's motor transportation was excellent and comfortable.He helped me customize the perfect tour for the whiskey lovers in our group and arranged lunch at a charming restaurant. He went above and beyond to accommodate some of the "extra" requests such as stopping to see Highland Cows and finding a lifting stone in a remote area for my son. He is one of the best guides I have ever had- outstanding!
