Hi, my name is Carole and I have been involved with tours and excursions for 5 years now. I have lived in Scotland all my life and Inverness for the last 25 years. I probably have one of the best jobs in the world meeting all you wonderful people from all around the globe. My passions are the Highlands of Scotland and Isle of Skye, and whether it's battlefields or castles, stunning landscapes, whisky, lochs or Nessie hunting, you can tour and cover them all. I aim to take your wish list of locations and help you turn them into a meaningful, memorable and magical experience. From the Speyside and Highland whisky trails, with many beautiful distilleries for your consideration and enjoyment and a taste experience that can't be rivaled, or perhaps a walking adventure in our magical countryside and wildlife of our glens, rest assured I know how to excite your imagination and expectations on a guided personal tour of our stunning country and its history. My experience and knowledge of history, myths and locations can help provide you with some great ideas for your tours. You will be transported in comfort and style in my immaculately presented Mercedes GLC 4x4 which gives a panoramic unclouded view of our stunning scenery. We could arrange pick up from your chosen location whether it's a hotel, house, port, train station or ferry, which will ensure that before, during and after the tour, your day will be undisturbed, memorable and talked about for years to come. Tours can be full or half days and start/finish times can be flexible to suit your needs on the day. I can do repositioning tours, maybe you fancy starting in Inverness and ending in Edinburgh or vice versa with scenic stops along the way. I can also offer multi day tours anywhere around Scotland. Just message me and we can sort out the best places to visit. If you are happy with three in the back I am happy to take four people 20 years experience as a professional driver. 5 years experience as a tour guide. None.

Overview of your Inverness tour

Well, what hasn't been written about the Isle of Skye? Nevertheless, you'll be able to indulge your own thoughts and senses about it, by letting me take you around this magnificent island on a private bespoke tour. You will see wonderful landscapes including The Awesome Great Glen, Loch Ness (and maybe Nessie with luck), waterfalls, rivers, stunning castles, and that's before we even cross the bridge to Skye! Skye has rich ancient and modern history, castles, fairy pools, glens, gardens and waterfalls. There is also the Quirang, Old man of Storr, Sligachan Bridge, Lealt Falls, Kilt Rock, whisky distilleries, their very own highland cows and stunning red and black hills called the Cullins. On top of that, they also have a beautiful harbour at Portree with lovely local shops. Therefore, as you can see, this is an awesome place with lots to see and explore. If you have any specific preferences, contact me and we can customise your tour together.

Isle of Skye is as dramatic and beautiful as “advertised”. Having Carole as our guide took the stress out of driving challenging roads, finding parking and toilets and navigating a logical order of things out of our hands, so we could absorb the gorgeous landscape, learn about the history, and enjoy her wit and stories. Highly recommended this tour and her as a guide!!!

Our tour of the Isle of Skye was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to Carole. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, informative, and deeply memorable. Carole was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s rich history, folklore, and geography but also had a warm, engaging style that made every stop come alive. Seeing the highlanders and the different variety of sheep was a bonus. Whether we were exploring coastal cliffs (the kilt) like or wandering through quaint villages, or taking in the breathtaking views of the beautiful mountain ranges the commentary was always insightful and perfectly timed. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather. Excellent guide! I would definitely book her for a tour!!

Great tour. Exactly as we agreed to ahead of time. Carol was easy to contact and did a great job getting us where we wanted to go. She gave us several options with the time we had which we appreciated. Isle of Skye is so beautiful with lots to do and the amazing weather we had was an added bonus.

Your Inverness tour itinerary

Proposed itinerary: -The tour would start with a morning pick-up from your accommodation. -We'd then drive along Loch Ness and stop for a photo-op at Urquhart Castle. We could also see the nearby highland cows. -Next, we'd head to Eilean Donan Castle, for either another photo stop or an optional guided visit. -After that, we'd stop at Sligachan Bridge and see the beautiful Cullin Hills. -We'd then drive to Portree for some sightseeing and lunch. -Later, we'd head to The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and The Quirang. -Then we reach Fairy Glen. -We'd then return to your accommodation. *An alternative route after Silgachan Bridge could be: ·Heading to Dunvegan Castle for a guided visit and lunch. ·Then driving to the beautiful, mystical Fairy Pools. ·Later stopping at Broadford for some souvenirs, before heading back to your accommodation. As there are many other variables for visiting Skye please message me and we can customize the day to suit your specific preferences as it is your personal tour.
