Hi there! I'm Neil and I've lived in the Highlands of Scotland almost all my life. More than 8 generations of my family have been born and bred here and my clan, The Munro clan, is one of the largest in the area - you don't get all that without picking up a bit of local knowledge in the process!! I can driver-guide you on any tour you'd like to take from castles to distilleries, amazing views to quiet beaches and the famous Loch Ness to the scenes of Outlander, Scotland has it all. Local knowledge and stories that they don't always put in the history books really make the places we visit come alive and will stay with you for years to come. I will collect you from your accommodation, whether that's central or rural, or directly off your cruise ship from the ports of Invergordon, Edinburgh, Portree or Ullapool and return you there at the end of your tour. I drive an air conditioned, 8-seater Mercedes-Benz with leather interior, privacy glass and charging points for your convenience. Travelling this way ensures that everyone is comfortable, has unrestricted views and your tour is personal, friendly and allows access to some of the less visited gems that Scotland has to offer. I love the challenge of tailoring bespoke tours to my passenger's needs so don't be afraid to ask for something different! I've lived and breathed Scotland's history, culture and heritage for most of my life and it's my love for my country that I enjoy sharing with others. I've worked in the tourism industry for over 15 years guiding walks and tours and hosting visitors to our area. Overview of your Inverness tour

I remember my first episode of Outlander. . . do you? If you loved the TV series or the books, you can't miss the opportunity to walk in Claire & Jamie's footsteps. We'll visit the inspiration for Craigh na Dun and you can feel the energy of the split stone, walk the battlefield where the Jacobites fell and stand by the Fraser memorial stone that Claire visited. Meander the oldest streets of Inverness, site of the Jacobite executions, before strolling along the banks of the Ness like Roger & Brianna did. Your tour wouldn't be complete without visiting Loch Ness & Urquhart Castle, where Claire and Frank visited on their second honeymoon, and the ruins of Beauly Priory, where Claire met Maisri the seer.

Great Outlander tour!! We learned a lot of interesting facts and had a fabulous day. Neil was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He did a wonderful job of showing us Outlander sites and providing actual historical facts during the tour. We particularly enjoyed Clava Cairns, Urquhart Castle and Culloden Moor. We were late meeting Neil due to delays caused by our cruise ship and he patiently waited until we arrived. He was very flexible and made sure the tour was tailored to our interests. We highly recommend Neil.

We had an awesome day with Neil. We got to see many great Outlander sites. We learned so much more about the Jacobites, Clans and the battle at Culloden. Neil was a great guide. Even though we got delayed by an hour because of immigration, he managed to take us everywhere we were supposed to go. We even got to see the Loch Ness monster !!! :) Neil was very informative about his Scotland, his clan, and the history of the area. I would greatly recommend him as a guide.

Neil was an excellent guide and gave an excellent tour. He had substantial and insightful knowledge of the places visited and was chatty and personable throughout. The tour started promptly and we never felt rushed. The car was well equipped with water, sanitiser, masks and the all important single malt! The lunch supplied was very tasty and well received. It was a good day. To all the Outlander fans, sassanach's and locals out there let Neil take you on his tour you won't be disappointed!
