Hello , my name is Lawrence and I am your driver / guide. Born and brought up on the South side of Loch Ness in Stratherrick I am a very proud Highlander and Scot. I joined the Royal Navy on leaving school and served for 6 years and travelled to the United States , the Caribbean , throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Coming back home to the Highlands I met the love of my life Linda and settled down raising a family of 3. Working in the fresh fruit business took myself and my family to Saudi Arabia for 6 years and on returning to the UK I continued to work in the fresh fruit business travelling around the World in my job buying fruit for the supermarkets. Sadly Linda fell seriously ill in 2017 and I stopped working to look after her until she sadly passed away in 2019. After the pandemic I started working as a tour guide and I absolutely love it , Highland History and Geography are 2 of my favourite subjects and the natural beauty of the Highlands speak for themselves. I would be delighted if you gave me the opportunity to show you around my local area whether you wish to go to The Isle of Skye or enjoy a lovely Whisky tour or an Outlander tour ( I am from the Clan Fraser ). I drive modern Mercedes vehicles , a 6 passenger seater V Class and an 8 passenger seater Vito which I am sure you will be very comfortable in. I offer a number of private tours from 1 day to 10 days and all my tours can be customized to suit you. Overview of your Inverness tour
This Whisky tour takes you to Speyside , Scotlands largest Whisky producing region. In this area you will find many well known Whisky producers such as Macallan , Glenfiddich , Glenlivet , Aberlour , Glenfarclas, Cardhu , Cragganmore and many more. We will customise your tour to your satisfaction and take you to the Distilleries you wish to visit. A typical Whisky tour would consist of an actual Distillery Tour where you are shown around the production and warehousing areas of the Distillery by an experienced member of staff and explained the processes involved in the different stages of the production , following this you will then be given a tutored tasting of 2-4 drams of the production. After lunch at one of the well known Whisky Pubs / Hotels your tour would continue by visiting 2 or 3 Distilleries where you can purchase tastings at the bar and be advised by the experienced bar staff. The cost of Distillery Tours and tastings are not included in the tour price as everyone has different tastes.

This is a suggested itinerary. 0800am - Depart Inverness 0930am - Glenfiddich Distillery Tour - Cost £30 per person - 4 drams. 1130am - The Balvenie Whisky lounge - Buy a tasting 1230pm - Lunch - The Highlander Inn , Craigellachie 1400pm - Glenallachie Distillery - Buy a tasting at the bar. 1515pm - Cardhu Distillery - Buy a tasting at the bar 1615pm - Depart Cardhu 1730pm - Drop you back at your accommodation.
