I'm Bill , your driver / guide. I can't wait to take you for a fantastic day out here in The Highlands of Scotland. It really is a beautiful part of the world; I love it! Born and brought up in Edinburgh I spent most of my childhood holidays in The Highlands; winter holidays in The Cairngorms and summer holidays near Gairloch, over on the beautiful northwest coast. My early working life involved teaching skiing in the mountains here and in the Alps, and crewing for a yacht charter company on the west coast, occasionally serving beer and whisky to the thirsty locals of Badachro. There are stories!! I moved to Inverness after meeting my wife Catriona, a local lass, in the mid 90s. Many a happy day have been spent since then walking the hills, discovering beautiful lochs and glens and driving through the glorious landscapes we have here on our doorstep. Let me show you! We'll have a lot of fun too. We'll spend a day (or more) driving around in great comfort in either the V-class Mercedes for small groups of up to six travelers, or, for two or three folk, if you fancy getting the wind in your hair and feel the mountains peering down on you, how about going out in our E-class Mercedes convertible? Don't worry, we'll check the weather forecast (it has been known to rain here occasionally). If it's going to be wet, we'll keep warm and dry in the bigger Merc instead! Both vehicles are available for transfer tours. You're welcome to use me for your airport and/or hotel transfers. How about we meet down in Edinburgh or Glasgow and I drive you north for a day or two (or more), touring throughout Scotland. We can create a tour to meet your requirements; golf, whisky, hills & lochs…. Or we can just meander, take the back roads and just see where we end up. Where to? Anywhere! Let's Go! I look forward to meeting you here in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. BA (hons) Leisure Management. Fully insured, including public liability. Overview of your Inverness tour

This tour takes in all the "Must See" attractions and destinations in and around Inverness. A day of historic sights, epic views, and tall tales awaits! We enjoy lovely views of the Beauly Firth as we head to Beauly Priory. Originally built in the 13th century by monks from Dijon, France, much of the main structure remains. From here we'll head over the hill to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy exploring this fascinating landmark whilst admiring the unrivaled views of Loch Ness. We then pass through Old Inverness, stopping to enjoy the river and more, before heading for Cawdor Castle & Gardens and the 4000-year-old Clava Cairns. Our final destination is Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last ever battle fought on British soil and where the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion came to its tragic end. If you have a specific interest in one or more of these landmark destinations, please do let us know and we can adjust our schedule and route accordingly.

We spent two fantastic days touring with Bill and were thoroughly impressed. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful—taking time to personalize the itinerary based on our interests, including special stops meaningful to our family. His historical insights added depth to every site, and he made sure we were always comfortable, from offering water to walking us into each stop. The pacing was perfect, with time for photos, garden strolls, and spontaneous moments. Bill’s attention to detail and easygoing manner made this our best tour experience ever. We’re already planning to tour with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a relaxed, enriching, and personalized way to experience Scotland.

Bill is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and could talk to us about any period in history and teach us about local customs and culture too. From a practical point of view, he is on time and a safe driver. All of this made our time with him interesting, easy, and worry free. A great way to learn a lot in a short period of time!
