Bespoke Highland Tour 10 Hours From Inverness

John was a great tour guide. I wanted to spead my day traveling from Inverness to very specific medieval sites for research for a medieval historic novel. He showed up with maps to show us where he was going to take us. I wanted to go to very specific places in the Highlands that were off the beaten path. He researched where I wanted to go and made sure that I got to go to the weird locations. He was patient when I wanted to hike off to a castle. We appreciate his point of view about current and past events that we asked about. It was a great full day tour.

Absolutely fantastic tour, would 100% recommend Jonny. He was very personable and fully molded the tour to exactly what we were looking for even transporting us to and from Inverness. He also provided personal recommendations and restaurants that made the trip one of a kind. Would definitely do this trip again or another trip with Jonny. HIGHLY recommend!

Jonny picked us up from the Aviemore train station for a custom made tour down the Speyside Whiskey Trail starting with a visit to family-owned Glenfarclus. After picking up sandwiches at Fresh in Abelour, we enjoyed a private 2.5 hour tour of Balvenie. He then took us to our airbnb in Inverness. Jonny's new transit van comfortable fit our group of 6. We enjoyed his good nature and great stories.

Day 2 of our three days with John: 10 hour bespoke tour. Long, but wonderful day. Drive to Isle of Skye via Loch Ness, Urquhart and Eilean Donan Castles. Village of Portree, Old Man of Stor, Kilt Rock, and a fabulous view from a mountain top. We loved being able to design our own tour with John's guidance. He even made sure we saw some hairy cows! Great day!

Jon's a great tour guide, and if he's available when you want to tour anywhere in Scotland, you'll be in good hands with him. Jon's a native of England, but he's been living in Scotland for a long time and is super knowledgeable about Scotland's sights, people, history, geography, and even geology! He seems to know every square inch of the countryside and can alert you in advance when you're about to pass something that you won't want to miss. Jon worked with us to curate a tour just for us. Great guide!

John M "Jonny" gave me exactly the day I wanted in the Highlands -- a taste of what the region is like on my first visit. He was beyond accommodating in answering my (many) question and following a route that often went off the beaten track. It was a day I will long remember. And when I return, I will be asking John for touring to many more specific spots to experience much more of what the beautiful Highlands have to offer
