I am a Highlander born and bred who has been fortunate to have worked and lived in many stunning areas right across Scotland, although always returning to the Highlands itself. Such locations has enabled me to absorb both the natural beauty and the impressive history that Scotland has to offer. The knowledge and geographical awareness that I have been exposed to has now enabled me to share such wonderful locations and experiences that Scotland has to offer with the many visitors who travel to Scotland. Prior to becoming a tour guide/driver I was fortunate to have retired from a successful career as a Police Officer in the Scottish Police service, working right across Scotland. Serving the local communities for many years has allowed me to experience the vast diverse cultures that are present. Equally such experiences has enabled me to appreciate the large amount of iconic locations that we have right the way throughout Scotland. The tours that I offer ensure that all will be exposed to the wonders that each location has to offer, such landscapes and views are forever changing throughout the seasons. The bonus of being a Highlander familiar with the areas visited, is the bonus of finding that wonderful scenic view normally hidden away. The tours listed here provide an opportunity to experience first-hand what Scotland has to offer. I am 100% flexible in my approach to each day, each tour can be amended/adjusted to suit the unique interests of guests, ensuring that maximum enjoyment is achieved by all. Working in the tourist industry since 2021 I am an experienced guide looking to maximise your visit. I am unable to guide inside certain historic locations due to such locations having their own staff/guides. I am licenced by our local authority.

Sit back and relax in the confines of a private tour within executive vehicle solely for your use. Travel through the wonderful city of Inverness on route to a variety of locations that are steeped in history, mythical stories and wonderful scenic views. Opportunity to walk the Culloden Battlefield, crossing the lines of where both the Jacobite and the Government forces assembled on that fateful day. Visit the memorial cairn, Clan stones including the Outlander Fraser Stone. Continue the Outlander theme with a visit to the 4000 yr old standing stones at the Clava Cairns. What affect will touching the "transporting stone" have on you? Will you be one who witnesses Nessie making an appearance as we travel alongside Loch Ness on route to the picturesque village of Beauly? Visit the ruins of the 12th Century "Old Priory" building. Having grown up in the village of Beauly (thankfully not in the 12th Century!) the impressive Priory grounds was a location that I regularly visited when growing up.

Fantastic tour and guide!
We had an unforgettable day with Bob on our tour from Inverness. He was warm, funny, and so engaging — his stories made every stop come alive, from the moving history at Culloden Battlefield to the ancient mystery of the Clava Cairns. The drive to Cawdor Castle through the countryside was beautiful, and returning through Inverness let us admire its iconic buildings. Cruising along Loch Ness was magical — and yes, we did see Nessie, so make sure to ask Bob for that tour! Ending in Beauly with its 12th-century Priory ruins was the perfect finish. A truly five-star experience with a guide who made the day both fun and memorable.
What a great tour! Bob was so knowledgeable and friendly he made our day. We saw all that we wanted and we learnt much about life in the Highlands. The time we spent at Culloden was most educational and Bob made the history come alive.
Bob was a fantastic guide to show our family (ages 10-77) all the local sites and history. His knowledge of this beautiful region shines! He showed us historic sites, local areas and highland "coos". He also was super flexible with our stops and lunch timing based on the group and even had chargers, snacks and waters in the van. We would definitely book another tour with Bob and our group collectively said what a great day we had.
My extended family and I had a chance to spend the day with Bob in Inverness and the surrounding area. Not only was he an unbelievably well informed guide, he was the kind of person you want to spend a lot of time with. I feel like we've made a friend for life… And the next time we return to this country, we're going to reconnect with our friend Bob!
