Day Tour Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle

Colin is a gem! He is the kind of person you would want as your friend as well as your guide. He is thoughtful, accommodating, flexible and knowledgeable. We did a customized all day tour to Isle of Skye that let us emphasize what interested us most. We had an amazing day and learned a great deal. One was able to ask questions about daily life and government as well as what we were seeing. He is so personable. I recommend him enthusiastically and would definitely do another tour with him if I came back. He’s also an excellent driver, an important feature on Skye’s narrow crowded roads. Thank you Colin!

Colin was a great guide. He is an excellent and safe driver with an immaculate high quality van. He was a farmer in his early days and knows everything about plants and wildlife. He is an excellent historian and very knowledgable about whiskeys if you are considering that tour. We arranged for a two day bespoke tour between Inverness and Portree and could not have been more pleased. Unless you have very specific ideas regarding your travel, feel free to let him design some of the stops and you won't regret it!

Incredible Day Tour with Colin – A True Highland Experience! I had an unforgettable day exploring the Isle of Skye with Colin as my guide. From start to finish, the tour was well-paced, informative, and full of breathtaking scenery. We began with the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. From there, we stopped at the Sligachan Old Bridge, a picturesque and atmospheric spot with views of the Cuillin Mountains. In Portree we stopped for a bite to eat and then on to a whiskey tasting. The highlight for me was the visit to the Fairy Pools. Colin gave me ample time to explore, take photos, and soak in the natural beauty. Colin was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Scotland. He created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the tour. Colin Stevenson was our guide on an unforgettably beautiful day. After picking us up at our hotel in Inverness, we traveled to the Eilean Donan Castle, a personal must-see for us. Colin waited for us as we explored at our own pace, so we never felt hurried. On to Portree, Isle of Skye for pictures of the harbor and lunch at the View. WOW!! Experienced the single lane roads and found ourselves in the Black Cuillen Mountains at the Fairy Pools. Then on to the Sligachan Old Bridge. Scotland's scenery never disappoints. And neither did Colin as he entertained us with tales of giants and great sheep and, of course, Nessie, among others. When we return, we'll find Colin again for another tour of Bonnie Scotland.
