Hi I’m John and I have lived in the Highlands and Islands for most of my life. I have also been involved in Scotland's tourism industry since 2006. Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of residing and working in different regions of Scotland, from the captivating Shetland Islands to the bustling cities of Edinburgh and Inverness. This background has endowed me with an extensive knowledge of Scotland's geography and an intimate understanding of the unique local cultures that enrich our diverse nation. I have developed a deep appreciation for Scotland's remarkable heritage, history, and natural wonders. Being a Tour Guide in Scotland is a great job. It's not really a job when you are visiting fantastic locations with great guests wishing to learn about our wonderful country. Scotland is a remarkable place, and I am committed to sharing its wonders with others, ensuring they have an unforgettable journey. I have been working as a private tour guide/driver since 2021. Having lived and worked across Scotland I can cover all areas of the country. I can offer not only the tours advertised but prepare a bespoke itinerary for you involving single day or multi day trips. I can collect you from your accommodation be it a Cruise Ship, Hotel or Guest House . I use a 8 seat, 7 passenger minivan which is excellent for Touring. I am an experienced driver and use my vehicle for the tours. I am fluent in English only. I am able to guide you inside historical monuments and locations.

A great tour incorporating a visit to Urquhart castle on the shore of Loch Ness the home of the famous Nessie, Loch Ness Monster. Onwards to Culloden Battlefield where the Govt Army defeated the jacobites in 1746 and made famously by Outlander. This is a very sacred ground where thousands of soldiers died in the last land battle in the United Kingdom. A visit to Clava Cairns a Bronze age burial site again referenced in Outlander. This bural site is 4 thousand years old and is a classic example of the people who live here many years ago. Travel to Beauly to visit the Priory a 12th century monastery and finally The Singleton Distillery, Muir of Ord where you can sample some of Scotland's finest malt whisky.
During this tour, We will see some of the most beautiful places, such as: - Urquhart Castle, A82, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XJ Scotland. - Clava Cairns, Balnuaran of Clava, IV2 5EU Scotland, - Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre, Culloden Moor IV2 5EU Scotland, - Beauly Priory, Beauly IV4 7DY Beauly IV4, Beauly Scotland, - The Singleton Distillery, Glen Ord Distillery Inverness, Muir of Ord IV6 7UJ Scotland, The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
