Explore Fishguard your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Fishguard tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Fishguard for every interest, including:

History tours: Stand at Carreg Wastad Point where the French landed in 1797, then see the detailed Last Invasion Tapestry at Fishguard Town Hall. Add Castell Henllys’ Iron Age roundhouses or the Pentre Ifan dolmen for a deeper timeline on a private history tour.

Nature and Wildlife tours: Scan the sea from Strumble Head lighthouse for Atlantic grey seals, porpoises, and gannets diving close to the cliffs. Your guide can time wildlife tours for the best tides and light, and include quiet coves like Pwllgwaelod for shorebird watching.

Hiking tours: Follow your guide along a favourite stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, such as the Dinas Head loop from Pwllgwaelod to Cwm‑yr‑Eglwys with sweeping cliff views. Longer hikes to Strumble Head or Abercastle can be tailored to your pace and the weather.

Fishguard is small and walkable, but buses are limited and many trailheads are spread out, so you can book chauffeured tours or request private transportation with your guide.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Fishguard inside and out.
