Having qualified as a Scottish Tourist Guide for the North Highlands in 2018, I am brimming full of enthusiasm for showing visitors the delights of the Highlands, where I have lived and travelled extensively since 1997. My previous role as a charity event fundraising manager introduced me to the iconic scenery of the Highlands and developed my people and communication skills. I am also a member of a local Tourist Guide Association, which keeps me connected with the latest talks and information available. Whether you have interests in Scottish Culture, ancient castles, the sometimes bloodied history, famous wildlife, awesome geology, stunning lochs and spectacular mountains or just want to chill in one of the most unique areas in the world, off the beaten track, I would be delighted to guide you, and help create what I hope will be one of your most enjoyable and entertaining holidays. In my comfortable, roomy and air conditioned Skoda Superb Plug In Hybrid, I can driver guide for up to 3/4 people. For groups of up to 8 people, I can hire an Arnold Clarke people carrier, for an additional fee. I can also provide walking tours in the beautiful city of Inverness, where I am fortunate to live, which could be part of a day's tour. I can meet you at your accommodation near Inverness or your cruise ship in Invergordon, Ullapool or Fort William. The Highlands have been home to some amazing people and I want to share their stories with you, sample the delights of what they eat and drink and give you a taste of life in the Highlands today. You can choose one of my advertised tours, which can be adapted, taking care with the timings, or I am happy to provide bespoke tours for any "must sees" or "must dos" that you have. Several of my tours are suitable or can be adapted for wheelchair users and I am happy to design bespoke tours to help visitors with other disabilities make the most of the Highlands. Your enjoyment is my aim and with my informal, friendly and sometimes humorous approach, I want to provide an unforgettable experience in this beautiful and fascinating area, which can take your breath away! I gained my Scottish Tourist Guide Association Green Badge for North Highlands from the University of the Highlands and Islands and I'm a member of the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association (HOSTGA). I have full indemnity insurance as well as an Emergency First Aid Training certificate.

Our road to Glencoe is full of dramatic sights, breath-taking beauty and it will give you an insight into the minds of Highland Clansmen. Let me show you magnificently situated Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness, drive you through bustling Fort Augustus with its famous locks and stop at one of Scotland's best-known monuments, offering views of Ben Nevis. You'll love the views from Old Ballachulish Ferry Brae (slipway) and I'll show you the scary way to transport a car! I stood on this slipway with my Dad in 1988 and it holds some lovely memories. Your jaw will be dropping at Glencoe and it's beautiful lochs whilst the Glencoe Visitor Centre, with its lovely café & short visual film of the dreadful massacre in 1692 will help to put you at the scene in the awesome Pass of Glencoe. Off to the movies then, driving past Bond's Skyfall location, his latest film set of Ardverike Castle, before north to Inverness, when I'll tell you about my role in Mary Queen of Scots - yes, you're travelling with a film star!
