A taste of the highlands at their most dramatic! We will take in Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, this is one of Scotlands greatest castles, get a sampling of medieval life where some of the most dramatic chapters of our nations history have taken place, as we drive along the majestic and mystical Loch Ness you might even catch a glimpse of the famous Nessie herself! Loch Ness is known as the home of the Loch Ness Monster (also known as "Nessie"), a cryptic, reputedly a large unknown animal. It is similar to other supposed lake monsters in Scotland and elsewhere, though its description varies from one account to the next. Popular interest and belief in the animal's existence have varied since it was first brought to the world's attention in 1933. We will also explore this beautiful land I call home the Highlands of Scotland, Historically the major social unit of the Highlands was the clan. We will explore these together and visit some stunning scenery along the way.

Morning: First stop is stunning LochNess, Urquhart Castle and the visitor centre, five hundred million years of history, natural mystery and legend, revealing the unique environment of Loch Ness and the famous Nessie story. Using a highly effective mix of lasers, digital projection and special effects, the Centre charts the history of the monster by exploring Scotland's geological past it's folklore and the various research projects carried out on the Loch. Lunch: Pub or cafe Afternoon: You will visit some of the most stunning places in the Highlands. The Scottish Highlands offers majestic and wild scenery and blissful seclusion amid lochs and mountains. *Drop off at location of your choice
