Day Tour Shore Excursion Loch Ness and Highland Highlights

Colin was the perfect fit guide for our Scottish Highlands tour. He was knowledgeable, funny and kind to accommodate our aging family members. He walked the Culloden Battlefield with us, making the fight come alive. We have Scottish ancestry, so we felt a deep connection to the land and people of the fight. We traveled to Cawdor castle where Colin helped set us up for a wonderful visit to a beautifully maintained Highland castle. The castle, maze, gardens and cafe were our favorite. We had the best gluten free bread ever. Colin made sure we stopped at Loch Ness and drive by the Clava Cairns. A most memorable day made perfect by Colin’s warm and gracious guiding. Colin was a delight! Communication was great, the vehicle was perfect, driving was great, his uniform was magnificent, and made us feel we were really in Scotland! The pace of the tour was great, he had all the tickets and reservations made so everything was seamless. We were excited to learn he does multiple-day tours for when we return to Scotland!

My family visited Inverness for the day from a cruise ship in August. We had a great time with our guide Colin visiting Loch Ness and the surrounding area. He was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about the history of the area. He also was great with our family- stopping for our girls to see Highland Cows up close and to shop for sweets! We really enjoyed learning about the history and what it is like to live in Scotland, we highly recommend!

Our guide, Colin S. was absoltuelly outstanding in every way. We wanted a private tour of the Highlands of Scotland for an entire day. We told him in advance what we were looking for... including a 2hr hike in the Highlands. He researched it & did a field trip ahead of time, to make sure it was what we were looking for. He nailed it. He also was a complete delight to spend the entire day with. We learned so much about the Scottish culture, as well as his taking us to key spots. I HIGHLY recommend Colin!

Colin and his son, Morgan, touring our family through the Scottish Highlands with a drive through Inverness, along the river Ness to Loch Ness. At the Loch Ness Center, we saw an excellent program explaining the legend. lore and facts of the Loch Ness Monster. After a wee bit of souvenir shopping, we enjoyed a nice lunch in Drumnadrochit together with Colin and Morgan. They continued on to Urquhart Castle where we saw a video history before exploring the historic ruins. We highly recommend Colin's tours!
