Hi! I'm Silvia. I grew up walking between masterpieces and I consider myself sensitive with art as my mom is an official art restorer at the Royal Palace and Prado Museum! I admire people full of knowledge who can speak about anything so I try to study a bit every day to become one of those people. On the other hand I love foreigners and how they can show you different ways to see life, I also enjoy walking, traveling, sharing. . . I found in my profession the best way to have it all together so I couldn't be happier when I became an official guide 10 years ago, and you are going to feel it!!! Since I was little I wanted to become a guide so I started my career pretty soon, I have a degree in Art History (it takes 5 years in Spain) and I continue studying history of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and other places reading books about it. I learned 6 languages, although I prefer to tour in english because I believe having a broad vocabulary is really important. I guarantee I'll take you to visit all the sites with the feeling of having a local friend who makes sure that your stay is full of pleasant surprises, because empathy is my best skill . We will talk about hidden treasures and rarely-told stories that blend with the city must sees. I will offer you a mix of all tours, mystery, history, art, legends, literature, . . . . The most interesting things, the most curious stories. A PRISM, a different vision about the city and hopefully life. You are the ultimate boss and decide what to see and how many stops you want to do along the way. And I'm just there to make you notice where are you passing through, to make you observe instead of just looking , to tell you stories , and help you learn about the language and culture. Come with me on this tour and you will be able to visit the inside of the Royal Palace with an official art restorer's daughter as if you were part of the Royal Family, without bookings or waiting queues! As a Historian, I will share with you the most anecdotic parts of Madrid's history in this building, but making it short and sweet so you don't feel overwhelmed with kings' names and remote dates. You will also get to know the past of the city with a very special guide. I will make you understand in full the origins of Madrid, the catholic background, the architecture and how life was in the middle ages. I'll make sure you have a different view and get some advices to make the most of your time here!

Although we overslept and missed the Palace tour, Silvia showed us many of the famous sites. Unfortunately, the next day's tour to Seville could not be made due to the nationwide power outage. Silvia was kind enough to leave us a note at our hotel about the status of our tour. She was able to show us the highlights of the Prado museum instead and our only regret was that we were unable to spend more time with Silvia who was a delightful guide.
Silvia met me at my hotel. After learning my interests, she adjusted the tour to suit my foodie tastes. We visited several markets, starting with Mercado San Miguel for tapas and drinks, then walked to Madroño Taberna to try Licor de Madroño in a chocolate cup—sweet and warming. At Plaza Mayor, we saw King Philip III’s statue, then enjoyed churros and hot chocolate at San Ginés, where Silvia, a licensed guide, bypassed the line. We visited the Galería de las Colecciones Reales to see Joaquin Sorolla’s work, then had authentic paella at Casa de Valencia. Silvia got us into the Royal Palace without waiting. We explored the Prado Museum, then enjoyed croquets and cerveza at Bodega de la Ardosa. The tour ended with rooftop views from Hotel Riu Plaza España. Silvia’s deep knowledge, fluent English, and flexibility made the day unforgettable—I’d happily tour with her again!
We had our waling to tour with Silvia and it was an incredible experience. She has a great knowledge of the Palace and the surroundings. She managed the time wisely and we were able to learn and enjoy our visit.
