Overview of your Madrid tour
This is the perfect option to visit the most traditional and characteristic part of Madrid. Madrid has a really broad and interesting past that goes from the Muslim times back in the 9th century up to nowadays. In this tour we will go through the most representative corners and spots of the city exploring its small and narrow streets, visiting Plaza Mayor, the Muslim walls, Opera Square or the heart of the city, Puerta del Sol. We will tour the old section for 3 h and meanwhile you will have the opportunity to experience its lifestyle and to get to know also about its culture, gastronomy, leisure, shopping etc. . . It's a great way to "feel" the city and to experience a local approach to it!

We've traveled a lot internationally and we've been with numerous local guides in groups both large and small. To me, the difference between a good guide and a great guide is in how "personal" they make the experience, and this becomes more important for smaller groups. Marta told us plenty about the city and its history, but she also engaged us in other conversation about her life and about ours as things came up randomly. As a result, this experience felt less like a structured tour and more like a super knowledgable friend was showing us around the city that she loves. This is exactly what we were hoping for, and Marta delivered. If you're interested in a more down-to-business tour then I'm confident Marta can operate in that mode too, as she clearly knows more about Madrid than she could possibly share in three hours. For us she did an excellent job of gauging the type of interaction we were looking for and providing exactly that.

This was a perfect way to begin our visit as we were able to familiarize ourselves for the rest of our weeklong trip.
