Knowledgeable enthusiastic guide who made visiting the royal palace dynamic. He knows the palace well. There was a security line with a short wait to enter. He talked about Spanish history and tried to make us feel like we were guests of the palace. Since Sofia Reina museum unfortunately was closed, we enjoyed delicious food at a cute bar/restaurant. While there he talked about history and Picasso’s paintings.
Ignacio is a fabulous guide and very interesting person … you will learn how to identify and interpret symbols within the paintings that are rich with historic meanings and you will want to tour more galleries with Ignacio … his gastronomic tapas tour also sounds fun …
Ignacio M. was an excellent guide for a tour of the Prado Museum and Royal Palace. He arrived on time and was amazing at navigating through the long lines of other tourists. He new both sites in such detail that he could bring us directly to the areas/exhibits that were most interesting to us. His knowledge of the art/decoration/culture/history were impressive. His guidance for other activities in Madrid helped us in the following days. Highly recommended!
This was the best tour we have ever had in our lives. Ignacio is extremely friendly and intelligent. We really valued our time with him. We highly recommend him to anybody thinking of touring the Prado and palace.
I would give Ignacio a 10 if allowed in the scale. We had a small hiccup at the start of the tour regarding the sites we were suppose to see. Ignacio immediately went to work fixing the issue. He went SOOOO above and beyond to make the tour still successful. We visited Prado and the Royal Palace while one of the Easter processions were happening. He helped us navigate the crowd, explained the culture behind the procession and got us to where we needed to be -- all with a smile.
My daughter and I loved our time with Ignacio. What a fantastic guide! His knowledge and enthusiasm for the history and art of Spain, the Palaces, and everything we saw in the Prado made our tour fly by. We learned so much and truly enjoyed Ignacio's company. We will certainly book future tours with Ignacio and consider him a friend after spending the afternoon with him.
• I will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to begin the tour a few minutes before the start of your visit, and transport you in a private vehicle to the monuments. The total time of the tour is 5 hours, and we will make some resting stops on the way. •Our tour starts at the Hapbsburg quarter, and there I will introduce you Madrid's history, from there I will lead you inside the Royal Palace to visit the most important halls inside; as the Throne room, Banquet hall, Dance ball columns hall and Chruch among others. All decorated in baroque and rococcó styles made by the top artists of 18th century. Before leaving the complex of the Palace we will visit the amazing Royal Armory. • After leaving the Palace we will stopat the Cathedral and head towards for the highlight of the tour: The Prado Museum, inside I will show you all the master pieces of Hyronimus Bosch, Goya, Velazquez, Rubbens, etc. I will explaining them as an artist and art historian
