Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia. After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time. After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide. Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid. Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children. Additionally, I also worked in the past as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places. Madrid Official Guide Licence Nº 850. Official Tour Guide License for Toledo Cathedral and Monuments. Official Licensed guide in Avila, Segovia and El Escorial. Graduated in Tourism by University Autonoma of Madrid. ETOA Tour Leader Licence in Europe. I am a driver but I do not have a license to take customers. However, I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. I can also drive my own vehicle and meet you in the destination.

As a very proud madrilenian, I would like to introduce you the highlights of my city and my favourite landmarks in the old town from a local guide perspective and share with you some legends, tips & anecdotes, followed by a guided tour inside the Royal Palace. I'll tell you some historical facts on how the city was developed, but also the cultural part: how "Madrilenians" used to lived back in the time, some anecdotes and "gossips" about the Spanish monarchs and stories of the most representative characters that lived in the city. We'll visit the most beautiful squares, iconic spots, take lots of pictures and stop at some local handicrafts & groceries shops where I normally go myself. We'll walk around "La Latina" popular quarter, see where local people like me go and eat Tapas, traditional markets, theatres, medieval squares and a secret garden! Along the walking tour we'll stop for a beverage in a local tavern to recover our energies to end our tour with a visit to the Royal Palace. Ready? Go for it!

Beatriz was fantastic. She showed us all the little things that we would’ve missed had we tried to visit the places she took us by ourselves. We also got off the main tourist track and into some of the more local neighborhoods, which was really neat. She was knowledgeable about the history of the region and answered all of our questions, and she tailored what she talked about to what we seemed most interested in. My 14-year-old son is studying Spanish in school and she spoke to him in a mix of slower Spanish that he could understand it and in English, where the concepts were too complex for him to understand in Spanish. He loved her. I highly recommend her to anyone but particularly to families with children and teenagers.
We had a lovely tour with Beatriz today. We were able to see central Madrid sights, LaLatina neighborhood, the cathedral and palace during our tour. Beatriz showed us some very cool, unique stops along the way. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Great tour and highly recommended booking with Beatriz!
The tour with Beatriz was great. She is so friendly and knowledgeable! It was a pleasure to see Madrid with her. It was the perfect pace to see the highlights! We highly recommend this tour!
Would HIGHLY recommend the Madrid Jewels: Old Historic quarter and Royal Palace walking tour with BEATRIZ Q! Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time touring the city, visiting the markets, and seeing the Royal Palace. Beatriz was very communicative, even before the trip started, confirming tickets, being flexible with timing. She had audio sets so that we could hear her no matter where we were. We were a family of 6 (including my teenage boys and my parents) that all equally enjoyed the experience. Beatriz was very warm and welcoming and enthusiastically shared her knowledge and love of the city. She also gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. We have done many tours and Beatriz really stood out. Thanks so much for a great tour!
Lovely tour through old Madrid. Beatriz explained the origins and formation of the squares and major buildings of Old Madrid. We sampled delicious Spanish treats throughout. We saw the contrast with the Latin Quarter. Her knowledge of the palace was excellent as she pointed out many important points we otherwise would have missed.
If your hotel is in the city centre. I'll pick you up and will start the tour from there. Otherwise, we will meet in Puerta del Sol, by the statue of King Charles III. We will visit: - Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor squares, learn Madrid origins. - La Latina quarter: walk by the medieval squares and visit a garden. - The oldest restaurant in the world: walk in to see the firewood oven! - St Miguel Food market: walk in to see the food stalls - Plaza de la Villa: oldest civil house in Madrid - Almudena's Cathedral picture stop - Royal Palace (including a guided tour inside and skip the line tickets) - Orient's Square gardens * Half way during the walking tour we will stop for a coffee in a local venue. * The order we visit the landmarks might be changed depending on the starting point (i. e. Hotel location) or your personal interest. * The Royal Palace is sometimes closed due to Private events, but alternative museums can be arranged. * If you have a specific itinerary in mind I'll customize the tour for you
