Walking & Tapas Tour in Madrid

Luis is a gem! My family of 5, including 3 teenage boys, absolutely loved our tapas and highlights tour. He was so knowledgeable about all the small things that one would normally not notice as you’re pounding through the old town. The restaurants and tapas he chose were delicious. We have returned to those restaurants and others he pointed out along the way. We have also gone back to do various activities that he described. He was fun and relatable and we loved this tour. So highly recommended!

We cannot say enough about our guide Luis because he’s amazing at what he does. Luis started us off with a tour of a local market and was very knowledgeable about everything being sold. It was raining and thanks to his connections throughout the city we were able to walk right into some of the most popular cafes, taverns, etc! He’s very good at explaining many historical sights we ran across and was a true professional. At the end of our tour we felt like we have known each other for years and we parted ways with a big hug. We highly recommend Luis for anyone wanting to explore the true local markets, tasting Spanish delicacies at 100+ year old taverns, and learning many details of Spanish cuisine. We truly enjoyed our afternoon with this outstanding guide.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Luis M. on this Madrid tapas and history tour. From start to finish, it felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend who genuinely loves sharing its culture, food, and stories. The food and drink experience was outstanding. We visited several spots which gave us a great variety, and the portions were generous enough to be able to share amongst ourselves. The opportunity to enjoy drinks at each stop made the experience relaxed and social without ever feeling rushed. We enjoyed visiting Mercado San Miguel as there were not nearly the number of people there as our previous day's visit and we were able to actually see what the market had to offer. What made the biggest difference was Luis himself. He was warm, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in the group. The pacing was perfect—never rushed, with plenty of time to enjoy each stop. This tour is the perfect mix of food, history, and local culture. Whether it’s your first time in Madrid or you’ve visited before, this experience offers something special. Highly recommended!
