Overview of your Madrid tour

I have a degree in Art History and the Prado Museum has no secrets for me. In addition, I also studied at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, so I will also teach you the best of the greatest Italian masters. On the other hand, I am passionate about other European schools (Flemish school, Spanish school, German school . . . ) so I will show you the best of each one and you can ask me what you want. For 2, 5 hours we'll admire a special selection of masterpieces in the best gallery in the world, in detail I will explain the historical context of the painting, the meaning and the techniques used. We will see not only the most important masterpieces in the Prado, but also some of my favorite and less-known pieces. The Prado Museum is the best gallery in the world and there are only masterpieces within its walls. Do not miss it out: is just impressive! ** Important Note: Museum's tickets not included. **

Jaime is an excellent, enthusiastic and engaging guide. We only had 2 hours for our tour, but Jaime managed to give us a comprehensive overview of the Prado collection through historical references, connections to art movements internationally, and storytelling. He brought an iPad preloaded with galleries of photos and closeups of paintings so that his descriptions were complemented with images that one cannot normally see at the prescribed distances from the art. The time passed so quickly, I wish that we had had 4 hours!

We had a wonderful tour last year with Jaime. And because of that when we returned to Madrid with our family we picked him again. We had 4 tours with Jaime. And, of course, he didn’t disappoint us. He is not only very knowledgeable but also present information in interesting way. Your Madrid tour itinerary

The Prado Museum is made up of the royal collections of the kings and queens of Spain. -We will start the tour outside the museum, knowing more about its monumental architecture. -Then we will enter and we will continue on the ground floor with some large paintings and we will slowly visit the Flemish painting rooms, as beautiful as mysterious, we will stop with the incredible Hyeronimus Bosch, we will continue with Brueghel and Partinir. -We will take the elevator to the Gran Galería del Prado, the place where some of the best paintings by the great Titian, Veronese, Tontoretto, El Greco and Peter Paul Rubens can be found. We will also stop in front of "Las Meninas" by Velazquez and without haste we will see the most famous works of Goya, a universal genius of painting. -And some other special surprises for you! The itinerary can be adapted to traveler's interests: do no hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.

The general price of the ticket is EUR 15, but there are some discounts for those over 65 years or free for students (mandatory to show the the student card). You can pay at the box office in cash or with a card, but I recommend reserving online before. With the online reservation it is not necessary to print the tickets, you can simply show the ticket on the phone screen. Once you make the reservation on my tour, I will tell you and help you book the tickets online, I will also send you the official link of the Prado Museum to buy the tickets online for to skip the line and have priority access. NOTE: There is also the possibility to buy the "Paseo del Arte Pass" and have access to the three main museums in the area (including the Prado Museum) at a lower price.
