Hi everyone! My name is Victor and I would be delighted to share some time with you to enjoy the rich history and pleasures that Madrid and Spain have to offer. Victor, your amigo in Spain. It might sound silly but as the British say "It does what it says in the tin". My aim and pleasure at the same time is to make sure that you enjoy your time like you were visiting your best friend. Life is short and this city is such a pleasure to live in. Are you young in nature with a willingness to learn and experience life? I have more than 20 years of experience guiding. Although I am originally from Madrid, Spain, I have traveled and lived abroad for many years and it was in London and traveling through the UK that I realized how much I enjoy sharing places and their history with like-minded people. I really started to get to know Madrid looking from an outsider's perspective from Napoli, Sicily, Ghent, Den Bosh, New Orleans, Washington…or Milan just to name a few. I love life's little moments, like those around a glass of wine, also love observing and learning about history, philosophy, and all the questions that life throws into our way, without forgetting health which has always been a very important part of my life. I have already lost two of the most important persons in my life - my father from whom I have learned manners and my love for gastronomy, and my sister, from her I've got this love of questions and my emotional side and from both, how to have a good laugh, be kind to people and to make the most out of life. Knowledge is wonderful, but useless if you can not share it with the world. My mom, 97 and growing strong, is the youngest person I know, showing us the way to be happy. And this is what you are going to find with me: a friendly soul that from the first moment will become close as a friend would be, a stroll around the old city around the most emblematic places, the many stories, theories, conspiracies from the old times and the smiles and jokes from the locals… yes, if you are with me the normal thing is that we stop at some point for a well-deserved beer to keep us going. As I mentioned before, health is very important to me and I have always had a thing for helping people, as a youngster as a Sports coach, (Nutrition coaching, movement, and massage) and later in life as a life coach (Neuroscience, meditation & much more). A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. My aim is to live up to 124 and enjoy every minute. So far I am winning. No need to say that traveling, exploring new places, and meeting new people have been demonstrated to improve our health and boost our life expectancy and for me It will be a huge pleasure to meet you. I will do my best in order to make your experience unforgettable so you can go back and share with your loved ones the photos from your happy adventure. Because what is life after all but an adventure? Join me in this search for the fountain of youth on our life journey while we sip away happy moments. It's so exciting when you first come to MADdrid. You feel like you have been here before and maybe you have. After all Madrid is a crossroads. A crossroads not only from Spain but from all over the world. Why should take the tour? if you'd like to feel welcome, a glass of wine or ¨caña de cerveza¨ while you mix with the locals, trusting your new friend Victor - Ok! that could be it. But why is Madrid so special? Maybe we should ask all of those who come for a few months and stayed a few years, if not for life. All of those born somewhere else but feeling ¨Madrileños¨. Beth from Chicago, Mino from Rome or Arianne from Eikdovhen. After all that is why we say over here, if you come to Madrid, you are from Madrid. Whatever you like, you'll find it in Madrid. The problem is just deciding what to do with so many things available on the same day. On your first day on the city, this is the EXPERIENCE not to miss. . . Victor is an expert about Madrid and Spain - anywhere from the antiquity through the middle ages and modernity. He will guide you in as deep as your intellectual curiosity is wishing. Most importantly, if you are looking for a friend to make you fall in love with Spain, Victor is the one.
Victor was so personable and a wealth of knowledge about Madrid, Spain, history, politics and the local scene. Tour was very personalized based on what we were interested in. Victor escorted us through all sorts of special areas that normal tours wouldn't see like various underground caves beneath restaurants, bars and the metro. We had a great 1/2 day with Victor and even enjoyed a beer and tapas with him at a local bar. Everyone seemed to know him. We recommend Victor highly!
Victor showed us the Prado museum on our first day in Madrid. We only had 2 hours so he had to be selective with the visit. He has such detailed knowledge on art and history which set the foundation for our 2 weeks in Spain. He then took us to several tapas bars which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Victor was a pleasure to tour with. He has much information to share and was flexible in dealing with our large group. The best part of the tour were the visits to spots for a snack and a beer. We never would have known of these treasured spots had he not introduced us to them.
Victor was a great guide combining historical context with Madrid culture of today. He also was a pleasure to spend time with. We high recommend him.

After all life is short). . . we will be going through so much history. - Arenal (Sand dealers) - Opera House - The best regarded sculpture and the first in the world made on. . . - Madrid Royal Palace (OMG where to start. . . hahaha) - Jewish Quarter, yes. . . and more - La Almudena (Madrid Cathedral). . . and more. . . wait for it. - The Almudaina or remainings from the muslin wall taken by Christians and Jews - Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Taverns, Bodegas, Toros, Inquisition and the Oldest restaurant in the world. - What else? Come and see. . . Madrid of the Habsburgs, Bourbons, Isabel the Ist and everything after. . . The tour can be modified based on your interests and preferences, weather you other circumstances that I would mention to you when the moment comes and always taylor made to your particular circunstance.
