El Prado Museum and Reina Sofía: Best of painting in Madrid

If I could give Beatriz ten stars for this tour, I would. She was easy to communicate with from our first contact and throughout the tour. She was very responsive. Her energy level and enthusiasm were infectious. She accommodated our group and was sensitive to what we wanted from the tour. She really knows what she is talking about, and we learned a lot from her. She is one of the best tours guides I have ever worked with.

Beatriz was simply awesome! Very easy to meet in the beginning. She took the time to get to know my family of 6 before starting and really tailored the tour to our group, paying attention to our interest level. I’d been to the Prado before, but never seen it like this. Her skill at weaving the history into a story that was educative, yet compelling is phenomenal. And her passion, not only for the artwork but also about Madrid and Spain was contagious. We will definitely reach out to her when we come back!

This tour was fantastic. Beatrix was incredibly knowledgeable about the museums, the paintings and artists and art history. She pointed out many details I would have missed on my own and gave me a new appreciation of these artists and how they built off other past masters. She also had fun stories about the artist and is an utterly fascinating and charming person who knows the ins and outs and all the secrets of these museums. If only I could experience all the great museums in the world at her side. I can’t recommend her tour enough.

We had a wonderful morning visiting the Prado and Reina Sofía museums with Beatriz. I’ve long admired Diego Velázquez and had wanted to see Las Meninas for many years—Beatriz absolutely delivered, making the experience both engaging and memorable with her deep knowledge of his work. She also introduced us to other Spanish artists we wasn’t familiar with, and we came away with a much greater appreciation for the Spanish Masters. Her passion for Picasso, and her insight into Guernica, made viewing the painting all the more powerful and meaningful. There is so much to see in both museums, but Beatriz expertly guided us through the highlights, ensuring we experienced the most important works without feeling overwhelmed. We would highly recommend Beatriz to any art lover.
